Top Gun Maverick with around $150 million 4 day weekend. It's a bit shocking because old franchises usually don't make this much cash.

So you're saying they were both at fault?

The Dolby Atmos sound design was also terrific. This has big potential to be reference picture and audio.

Between this and Stranger Things 4 I’m already emotionally exhausted, but in a good way.

Keep hearing the same things! Fantastic movie with incredible sound design! Can't wait to see it and then experience it again at home!!

I thought all of that was just acting. I didn't know he lost his voice and is actually sick.

Absolute masterpiece, one of the best big budget summer blockbusters ever made.

Glen Powell is pure movie star material. Get this guy a leading role in his own franchise now.

Appreciated that they never followed up the original with cash grab sequels even though they easily could have. They waited until they had another great story.

A perfect sequel. It's up there with other greats like Blade Runner 2049 and Fury Road.

5/5

The F-14s in the U.S. are not flyable, what you have is Hollywood magic - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...t#post16654048

The one used in the movie was procured from the San Diego Air and Space Museum - https://variety.com/2022/artisans/ne...gn-1235279218/ and b.t.w., it was towed not only up north to the Lake Tahoe area, but also down south to the naval air station on Coronado and onto - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...d#post16742216

It’s worthwhile because our brains inherently like it, as previously described to Puddy - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...e#post20088315

…that’s how Maverick flew through the jet wash.

Ironic, considering how Iceman had accused him of being selfish and dangerous.

See, I'm going back to see it again in IMAX. I just don't think I will get the same feeling seeing it at home on my home theater. How often will you ever get to see it again in theaters?
