I know you are a huge moviegoer; from your eyes, ears and brain which flick(s) had the most impact so far this year (2022)?

And, where Top Gun: Maverick, Jurassic World Dominion and Elvis ranked in your movie book?

The reviews (pro and non-pro) I take with my cereals (no salt, a bit of sugar).

Where does Top Gun: M stand in the movie ladder?

Hoping near my neck of the woods that next weekend, there will still be even a single IMAX showing as if (and it's a likely 'if') I go for a third and last cinema viewing I want to go as big as possible.

Alas, no can do, I'm working all the way through until Thursday. If not, no biggie as I'll be grabbing the UHD Day 1 anyway.

If he's talking intelligently it's ok. If he's bullshitting we just jump over, no sweat.
I have no alliance with bullshitters and stalkers and idiots. I hate disrespectful people.
If folks want to share their movie experience and talk Top Gun: Maverick and how everything is doing related and in competition, the happier our movie world.
We're here because movies matter.

You don't like someone just jump over, don't build a hate cult and gang bang on another member. Be smarter. I know you are, do it, align.

* Yes I meant if you saw it (Morbius). I forget to type the word "see" sorry.
I've read few reviews, but I did not see it personally and I have zero aspiration and inspiration in buying the 4K Blu, less than zero desire.

I finally saw this today and I thought it was great. 5/5 stars for me. Great characters, action, drama-everything you would want in a Summer Blockbuster. Tom Cruise may have some wierd views but he knows how to make great larger than life movies.

Previews we got:
Bullet Train
Nope
Don’t Worry Darlin (Florence Pugh stuck in some secret wierd community)
Smile (WTF???)
Thor: Love and Thunder

And he´s at the top of Hollywood since 1986. That deserves respect.

That is NOT what the guy is doing. Bonnets behaviour has been noticed across many threads now and more and more members are wising up to it.
It’s one thing saying move on, but when multiple threads are affected, it’s not that easy.

StarWarsIsAwesome is the latest in a long line of members calling him/her out for what they are.

It didn't occur to me to take any photos when I watched this in ScreenX, luckily someone on Twitter shared this.

I realize some folks don't like ScreenX in general. But if you do, this is a movie that makes pretty good use of it.

Ahh that's a good question. The speakers are both behind the main screen and on the sides, above the screens. There are also rear speakers, of course.

ScreenX presentations are a rare treat. There is absolutely no way to replicate the experience at home.

Have you watched anything using Screenx and 4DX?

LOL, the technology hasn't advanced enough to be able to use ScreenX and 4DX in the same auditorium AFAIK. It should be possible but would be expensive I guess.

I did watch TGM in both 4DX and ScreenX at separate times, tho.

Neither experience can be enjoyed at home, so it's important to check out those premium screen offerings while there's a chance. Once it's gone it's gone forever.

The Wikipedia pages mentions it, looks like it is only international.

4DX Screen (formerly "4DX with ScreenX") is the combination of the ScreenX and 4DX film formats which allows moviegoers to experience films in the multi-screen auditorium with enhanced motion and environmental effects, with an additional fourth-screen projected on the ceiling and the newest 4DX chair models. It debuted at a theater in Yongsan in 2017, and was internationally unveiled at CinemaCon 2018, and later at CES 2020.[17][18][19] The combined film format is currently[when?] operating throughout Asian territories including South Korea, Japan and China. It later opened its first theater in a non-Asian location at a Les Cinémas Gaumont Pathé theater in Paris, France.[20][21] It later made its overseas debut at a Cinépolis theater in Mexico City, Mexico in March 2020.[22][23][24]

Well, that's pretty amazing. I was pretty sure it hasn't been done in the US yet. But I guess if you're in Asia or Mexico, you're in luck.

I think TGM would be an amazing movie to enjoy in that format.

Heck, I might have booked a ticket to Mexico City if I had known about it.
