While I'm glad this is coming to Blu-Ray, I'm a little miffed that its taking so long. November 1st for a film that hit theaters in May? That's over five months, which to me is at least one month too long. I wonder if Cruise had something to do with that decision.

Paramount Pictures have a team of a accounting film revenues experts; they know how to maximize profits for the company and their shareholders.
Tom is just in it for the ride, that's all; a $100 million ride (paycheck).

* If any of us here would be running a major Hollywood movie studio, we'd do the same.
Not to be impatient for the 4K Blu-ray disc addicts; November 1st will come very fast @ supersonic speed.
Meanwhile you can get a comfortable seat in a theater near you and enjoy the show on a much bigger screen than @ home and with sound for the par.
It's not that bad @ all after all. We'll be well served when the times come, with all the family in the living room or home theater room.

There's a Food and Beverage section too; check it out...you might like it.
Also, there's a strictly Gif section; you'd do swell there.

Thumbs up

I saw this for the second time a few days ago. I always wanted to catch it again on a premium screen, and it was showing in Dolby.

This is an excellent film. Excellent verisimilitude. It's technically flawless; everything looks and feels real. The filmmakers' use of real and practical elements really pays off in authenticity.

The other key to its success is that it unabashedly celebrates heroism, sacrifice, and excellence. A lot of people grew up watching Top Gun. Everybody knows Maverick, everybody loves Maverick; no one wants to see cranky old Maverick stuck on an island somewhere. It doesn't deconstruct anything.

I will be buying a UHD Steelbook to match the first film!

#5 this weekend per Deadline forecast...

Dragonball, Beast, Bullet Train, Superpets, Maverick. With Maverick still making money, putting this on streaming on Tuesday is something I wouldn't do...but...waddya going to do.

And it's still not enough to keep Cineworld from filing for bankruptcy!

In an alternate universe, where the Fast & Furious only lasted one movie, Vin Diesel saw the success of this movie and decided to make a sequel using this as an influence.

Exactly. He could wait until 2037 to release it.

You're assuming this alternate universe hasn't fixed climate change.
