Can you explain why you think there are adverse side effects 15-20 years down the line? mRNA doesn't hang out in your body for 15-20 years. I am not sure what mechanism you are thinking about where the COVID vaccine side effects will magically sprung free after 20 years. mRNA is not a new technology. We have been developing this tech for years before COVID was known. This isn't something scientists just cooked up days after the discovery of COVID.

Exactly this. It is like statistics don't matter to them.

Oh, no - they matter greatly when they can find a piece of one to support their narrative. Of course, they don't look into any of the fine print around those numbers or scroll down to the conclusion in some cases. But, they'll quote irrelevant stats (we have one a few posts up) all day long.

How do unvaccinated people affect me? I am never going to effing see this movie. I have a poster on my wall that says "June 2020". It's a cruel joke.

I didn't say it would happen I asked if ppl could guarantee that 15-20 years there wouldn't be side effects from the vaccine there's a difference. Right now no they cannot no matter what the science says right now. I get thats why some dont want to get the shot. History has proven certain that people of a certain racial background were used as guinnie pigs for multiple vaccines between the 40's and 80's.

I have already stated I have the shot. I get my 2nd booster in January. But I can see why some are hesitant based on history to get the shot. I know that this tech has been under research for 15+ years before this virus. Were damn lucky they had been researching this tech because its the only way we could get a vaccine as quickly as we did.

I dont want tog et into a whole debate about it as I have done my part. I am only simply saying I can understand some hesitancy thats all. But those people should still be following guidelines and wearing masks and using sanitizer and washing hands like crazy.

1) The vaccine doesn't prevent the catching and spreading of COVID.
2) I've never taken ivermectin. And anyone who refers to it as "horse dewormer" when it's been approved for use in humans for decades is either an idiot or a political hack.
3) We had mask mandates in my area for damn near a year and the virus continued to spread. For the last f-cking time, you cannot eradicate COVID! Name one country on the planet that's managed to pull that off in 18 months no matter how draconian their measures(aside from North Korea who are lying and a few others with populations around 10,000 or less).

So vaccinated people can still catch and spread COVID. Thanks for confirming what I've been saying.

ANYWAY, I'm guessing that Maverick is going to space in this, too bad that Roman and Tej already beat him to the punch.

Your statement was ambiguous. The vaccine DOES prevent the catching of COVID in many people. It doesn't prevent it 100% of the time.

There was nothing ambiguous about what I said. The vaccine doesn't prevent people from catching or spreading the virus. End of story.

I'm not saying people shouldn't get vaccinated. But at some point(and frankly, I'd reached that point over a year ago even before the vaccines came along), we have to accept the reality that COVID isn't going anywhere.

They approved the script. In fact, I think they have to unless the studio wants to risk losing any and all support from the Defense Department.

I'm not sure what creative choices(if any) they influenced though.

Top Gun 2: How the U.S. Military Helped Make This Must See Movie

Quote:
Actually the Pentagon gave Paramount Pictures Corp. extensive access to its facilities and personnel during the filming of Top Gun 2.

The production assistance agreement also gave Paramount Pictures Corp. permission to fly aircraft, place cameras on and in F/A-18 Super Hornets and Navy helicopters, as well as escorted access to a Nimitz-class nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. The Navy was also expected to train cast members in water survival and aircraft seat ejection.

In return for the assistance, Paramount agreed to an “official DoD screening” of the movie before its official release.

It could be the bad news out of Afghanistan that made it seem like a bad time to put out a gung-ho military movie.

Well said. Covid is here to stay, people, it's not going to be eradicated. The time has long since passed to just admit that, let people take precautions that want to take precautions, and go back to living life as people choose to. Mask mandates do not work. Lockdowns do not work. Masks themselves offer fleeting protection at best and are totally unnecessary in children. Get movies in theaters, butts in seats, and life back to normal.

Myself, my wife, and our child are all double vaxxed and anyone that has had the vaccine should take every mask they own, start a bonfire in the backyard, burn them, and live life. Want to get a booster when eligible, go for it, but this is becoming more about control and less about solving problems, at this point.

Excatly! But potential lung and heart damage/scarring will hang in your organs for 15-rest of your life...

God dammit for the delay but safety first or this thing will never be over..
