Mixed feelings lol, 6 shifts the work week of August 31st-September 6th will be good for the bank account. Really don't want to close with that slow guy 4 times in 1 week though, not sure how much longer they're going to put up with his inability to finish up faster at the end of shifts. The fundamental problem with him as a dishwasher is he's always looking for ways to kick tasks further down the road so he doesn't have to do them and he spends a lot of time playing Pokemon Go, playing with the music on his phone and taking breaks.

worrying myself over nothing probably but then I do not know. I need to get a dog walking job. I emailed a response to one company about setting up a phone interview and now nothing yet I hope I will hear something soon. its driving me mad.

Job interviews are nerve racking but a necessary aspect of job hunting. I imagine a record number of people are interviewing right now too, which makes it all the harder to find jobs.

heard from Social Security which asked for more info on 3 jobs in the past. Said it might be finalized this week the decision. sounded positive but I don't want to get my hopes up but I do want a job as a backup/extra cash so maybe things are looking up.

Heh my schedule for 8/31 went back down again right after the schedule for the following week also went up. Back to 4 shifts for next week, oh well. Can't really say I'm surprised, guessing their favourite dishwasher is changing his schedule and it's affecting everyone else. Not really expecting more than about 30 hours a week again until they re-open indoor dining.

9/7-9/13 I'm still scheduled to work 45 hours, we'll see if that holds up.

Whatever happened to supervision? Most of the porters on my shift are a bunch of lazy bums who sit around doing nothing. I blame their spineless boss but I remember a time when workers were properly supervised. Even the supervisors are worthless these days.

Well I don't know why they brought him back after we shut down in mid-March. Even if you're too lazy to tell him to do better (which they are) it's easy to just tell him to leave and not come back. That's what happened to that old dude who spent half his time at work taking breaks, stealing food (there's food they'll let you have, I take a lot of this and food nobody can take) and hitting on a fry cook. I thought they were okay with him having 40 sodas and 20 lbs of free food a day, guess not.

I get it, the main reason I'd probably make a terrible manager is I don't enjoy confrontations and I hate telling people what to do or giving them unpleasant information. However, this employee is simply terrible, they either need to make him go faster or bring in someone who will.

Why do people cover up their license plates in pictures/videos on the Internet? Do they not realize hundreds if not thousands of people see their tag numbers just driving down the road? I just watched a video of a guy who blurred out the numbers on his plate but not the state/county part of it, then later in the video even showed his registration tags on his windshield in clear view. What's the point?

speaking of which why the hell do I not have license plate stickers. I had to renew by mail but I sent that in weeks ago and the month is almost up. they better not give me a ticket. There needs a better solution to the mail than what we are doing. more people probably and better pay but I don't know how to prevent it from being slow or not even delivered.

You can't renew online in your state? Renewing by mail means you have to wait for them to receive it, process it, then mail back to you. Of course with the trouble USPS has been having, there's no guarantee for expedited delivery. Plus we all know how painfully slow the DMV is so processing likely takes some time as well.

I have a huge elbow work desk with thick heavy glass sheets comprising the entire desktop. I bought it on eBay 15 years ago for like $250, shipped...which, I still don't know how I got it so cheap. Anyway, it miraculously arrived in great shape.

At any rate, thank goodness for postal insurance.
