This ****ing pandemic has stared making me talk to myself a lot more often. Probably because I don't see my family and friends that often anymore. No, I'm not schizophrenic. And I should know since I have two friends with schizophrenia, so I know the difference.

My roadtrip to get back home took longer than it should of, because of stops for fatigue.
It was interesting to see the decisions that other drivers made and the time that it took to make them.
The outfit that I work for may be changing how they get us to work and I may find myself doing this drive more often.
I'm not looking forward to that.

Asking myself if my answers to common job questions are asinine.

What are your weaknesses?
-Public speaking.
-Becoming too focused on one thing and losing sight of the bigger picture. So I sometimes have to remind myself not to do things too perfectly or neatly.

Why should we hire you?
-I don't need the money right now. I know most people work paycheck to paycheck, but I still have enough in my savings to pay my rent and food for more than a year. So I would be doing the job because I want to. Workers are more productive when they want to work. By the same token, you could say that necessity makes workers more productive. But I've never been fired for my productivity. I've never been fired. I've always tried to do good work.

What am I thinking? Well I started off watching U2's Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own on YouTube and now a live version of The Scientist is playing. I'd love to see U2 and Coldplay in concert. I think I was stationed in Japan when Coldplay's Parachutes came out. I wish I had gotten into them a little sooner. Before I started collecting imported DVDs, I got some imported CDs including some from Coldplay.

I wonder what causes or trigger some events in Folklore. Like the boss 3 battle for Ellen I had to several times change the way I held the controller to get the id out but the last time I was able to stick with one way which was the easiest and got the id out. this game can be weird in its mechanics sometimes.

EDIT: Ha would you look at that. There's a box for "display advertisements" in your settings section. That must have been new because I haven't been to my settings in years lol.

There was bad preseason NFL football on the radio, tolerable (dare I say slighty cooler) evening temps, and dusk creeping in earlier and earlier each day.

Just a hint of summer winding down, with the promise of fall on the way.

So, yeah, it was a nice, relaxing evening, even as I was working through it.

I don't remember ever having to breathe so much wildfire. The fires aren't even here in northern Utah. The smoke is blowing in from California and Oregon. Crazy.

Brushing my teeth before work. Thinking about how I've been asked into jury duty selection for next month but that's when my mother's birthday and my uncle's funeral in Minnesota are. Plus I'm taking Spanish and other courses this fall to boost my transcript a bit as I apply to graduate schools. So at the very least I should be able to get my potential jury duty bumped till January, possibly later.
