Doesn't help that the whole reason I'm down here (my GF) is currently in Michigan for work through the end of the year. I knew this move was a mistake when she was laid off a month after I got here.
just to get my stuff but it has been hard to get use to area i've been gone since Spring 2005. I have my friends here and my brother here, the rest in ky and cali. hopefully soon I will complete the move and just go back to visit. being tied to one place is better than being tied to another at the same time.

I should start a new game but I've not finish this one but some of the trophies are getting harder to get. I know for sure I'll have two trophies when I do beat the game just a few others I can't seem to pull off but I am working towards one now which is annoying but I think it's needed to fight the final boss anyway.

Decided to get my first Moderna shot this morning. I didn't really want to, but I'm sure Walmart will follow the new mandate soon enough (if it holds up) since they already require corporate employees to be vaccinated. I just got this job after 9months of struggling through unemployment, I'm not about to lose it or have to get a q-tip shoved up into my brain every week.

So far, so good. Little soreness in my upper arm now, but I don't know if that's from the shot or all the lifting I did at work today. My second shot is in 4wks. Fingers crossed I don't have any nasty effects from it besides a little sickness.

Reflecting on 9/11. I will never forget especially since it’s around my birthday and I am always reminded every year. Can’t believe it’s been 20 years. It was so surreal the day it happened. I was in bed (West Coast) when my sister called me to turn on the TV. The first plane already hit one of the towers and saw the second one hit the other tower. And watching both towers eventually collapse. That day at work we were all sullen and quiet still in disbelief with what happened and we were eventually dismissed from work early.

9/11 ... sure is on my mind, and on the minds of millions...billions.
It changed the scope of life itself on planet Earth.

Twenty years ago exactly to this day ... R.I.P. to all who perished that day.

There was definitely some very strong emotions that day.
R.I.P. for all of the victims.

Walking on an exercise trail isn't real exercise, it's a basic human function. It is one of my joys in life to ignore strollers on the trail when they wave at me when I run past them.

Ooh a fellow Walmart associate on here. You at the store level or Logistics? I got my first Moderna shot yesterday, arm's still a little sore but it didn't hurt my extensive physical job functions (I fill orders in a grocery warehouse). It was a decision long time coming, I've been on the fence but with my 10y/o daughter recently getting horribly sick with Covid19 that was enough of a wake up call for me to do something decently responsible for once.

Man I was 3hrs from Ground Zero, but as a native New Yorker and military brat growing up nonetheless I will never forget. I was only 15 but I remember saying I was gonna sign up at 17 after high school, unfortunately MEPS saw my medical history from infancy and shot me down. Could've got a waiver but my recruiter was a worthless POS and didn't want the extra paperwork. I regret not continuing that pursuit every single day.

I'm from Suffolk County.
Mastic Beach.

I signed up in '02, scored a 96 on my ASVAB
Got to Great Lakes for Navy Training.
Got injected with a whole bunch of crap, got pulled from basic into SEAL training.
Was two weeks from graduation and got pulled for medical discharge because of a heart issue.

I got an alert from IG about Ana De Armas and that reminded me of a pleasant dream I had about her just last night. I'm assuming it took place in Florida or Cuba. It was kind of crazy what happened at the end but I won't mention that part

Think it was May or June, his circle went into detail about it in the General Chat thread. I'll look now. According to a post I read, March 18th.

I'm store level. Just started about a week ago in the online grocery pickup. It's not too bad. I just hate going outside in the heat, but at least the walk-in cooler and freezer are right there if I need to cool off for a second.

Sorry to hear about your daughter. Hope she's ok now.

USPS has been slower than ever recently. Everything I've got coming or have sent departs the post office and isn't updated for a week, then randomly gets marked as out for delivery. First class and media mail, priority seems unaffected. I remember reading about how USPS planned to slow deliveries down, they weren't kidding.
