When you're having a rough period (undeserved), it's a struggle to get out of it, but the advice, help and support from friends helps you to persevere and get back to something more brighter and positive (eg. ignoring negativity created by others and situations that come as a result of that). I was given some wise advice some time ago (ignore them long enough and they'll go away).

Interviewing with CYFD on Monday, hopefully this time they'll hire me. Gotta go in properly dressed and prepared to answer questions in a manner recruiters want to hear.

Thinking about this Latina I just saw in Walmart while I was grocery shopping. She had this all pink two-piece track suit on and she was...like her body looked like it was cartoon drawn. That's how impressive she was...

Yeah Latinas all either seem to be smoke shows or...the complete opposite. Doesn't really seem to be an in-between with them.

That's a thoughtful, very helpful bit of advice and support (much appreciated).

Heartbreak Ridge is one of Clint Eastwood's films from the eighties I haven't seen in full (I remember back when it was first shown on (I think) ITV and not being as interested in it as I was with some of his other films (Pink Cadillac, which came out a few years later, I had a similar, dismissive mindset about (but I have seen more of that film). Have seen Tightrope in full (that's one of my favourite Clint films from the eighties).

I am planning on watching again (hopefully) sometime this year the five Dirty Harry films (saw The Good, the Bad and the Ugly at a local cinema a couple of years ago and remember during the first half an older couple giving a running commentary (and yet usually, older people in cinema screenings are the quietest).

I want to date a black woman? What do you think of them, Batman1980?

Hempstead (the Village), Roosevelt (the Hamlet, not the mall), and Uniondale would be good places to start.

I lived in a black neighborhood for four years (Coram). But it’s too far from Nassau County and I have to have my occasional visits to Americana Manhasset and frequent visits to Roosevelt Field.

As long as you like her, demographics shouldn't matter.

True. But I like to have a lot of choices and still do the activities I enjoy.

I could share these things with a woman I love. The towns I mentioned have a lot of black women to choose from.

I could go on date with each one and then hook up with the one I think is most ideal for me. At dating app would most likely be my best bet for this.

Demographics are actually moot unless they live too far away. My question was what black women are like versus the Latinas you and sfmarine obviously have had subpar experiences with.

Worked with plenty over the years. Most of them were older, but fun to be around. The one would call me “daddy”…don’t ask…lol. Never had any romantic flings with any.

I would go the dating apps route and find a nice gal from Massapequa, if possible!

Hmmm, I feel like BRT is setting a trap One of the last girls that I went out with (a few dates, not relationship) was Ethiopian. There seem to be a decent number of Ethiopian girls here and they've definitely caught my eye. Very briefly met an Eritrean girl a few years back and not sure if I would have had a chance (had she been single) but she had a real kick back and chill vibe that I really dug. Quite attractive also.

If you've seen enough of my posts, you know I tend to go for noncaucasian girls and I think that's just from growing up in a small town where that's all there was. Then I get into the Marine Corp and I see some different places with different demographics and there was no looking back.

Noon interview today for a DDW company so that's 4 interviews in 2 weeks for me, not bad at all considering I waited awhile after RII ended to get another interview.

Actually it looks like today's interview is for a contractor position and I hate the way taxes are handled for those, plus no benefits so I'll probably just politely decline.

I'm at Applebee's and they played Justin Timberlake's Man Of The Woods (song) awhile ago. I had heard it before. It's pretty catchy.

Stopped at Stew Leonard’s on the way home from Connecticut last night. They’re mostly in the Tri-State area.

I was told it was similar to Trader Joe’s and I definitely felt that vibe. Pretty cool place but pricey!
