Run or di sounds like a caveman vanity plate. I'll probably get something that has more to do with movies like "Panem" or some such.

That actually sounds kind of threatening. Kind of like the "Keep honking, I'm reloading"

What thread is this? Oh yeah. Mmm, these cookies are good.

Ha! It was from a health perspective. I do not have a vanity plate.

Finally got around to watching this. As a dude who loves Egyptian-related content and archeology in general, I thought this was pretty weak and messy with bad writing. I mean it had its moments but meh. Not sure if I should have bought it.

I saw The Dark Knight Rises since it's in theaters again. My only other viewing was in 2012 when it originally played. I liked it better this time around and the close to 3 hour runtime went by quickly. Anne Hathaway looked incredible throughout. I hadn't realized that Cillian Murphy was such a Christopher Nolan regular.

GO BACK TO BED!

Still waiting for the Las Cruces Jersey Mike's to open so I can start going there once or twice a week. Tastes less like assembly line sandwiches than Subway, plus they use real bread.

Got my Subway. Went with the great garlic & pickleball.

Thinking no more cheap contacts from 1800 contacts. Everything is blurry today. The Acuvue brand is so much better.

At least you're not one of those people like me who can't wear contacts because they can't get themselves to hold their eyes open while they put the contacts in.

Thinking about the stuff I want to do today in El Paso but really need to wait and see if I'm going to be working 3-7 today. I doubt it but it's definitely a possibility.

I gave up multiple times wearing contacts. Could never get them in. It can take a while to get used to prying your eyelids open and all that stuff plus the “poke my eye/I don’t want to be blind” factor.

I saw a new eye doctor and he wanted me to try contacts. I said I was not interested as I already went down that road. He assured me that his techs were very good. It comes down to the tech and if they’re patient and a good teacher. After about 30 mins I was confident enough to go home with them in and removed them myself in the evening. Now it’s like second nature. Once you get your eyelid control down, it’s pretty easy as they’re designed to conform to your eye. Getting them out is a bit more difficult for me at least.

Yeah I'm guessing it was the tech. Felt like I was sitting there forever with them in and waiting for the woman to take them out so I could go home since she wasn't teaching me how to put them in. Gotta wait till I get vision insurance again then look into it. Wonder if they sell running contacts, imagine they do. Also imagine if I switch to contacts I'll have to get the non-disposable kind so I can wear them all the time.

Yeah man my first tech was freaking lazy and just a dick. Literally just had me watch him remove his and re-insert and then was like ok now you do it. Serves me right for going to the Walmart eye center!

It’s worth it to look elsewhere. I wish I was able to get them in during my younger days when I played sports. I was blind during football. A few of us would still wear glasses under our helmet but the frames would always get bent. I had prescription Oakley’s during my life guarding days. They were super expensive. It’s great to be able to wear sunglasses like a normal person now.

Not sure another the running ones. I use dailies which you throw out at the end of the day. They're much easier to deal with and you don’t have to worry about cleaning and formula.

You can also practice without contacts. Just get used to keeping your eyelids open for 5 seconds or so to feel the air hit your eye. It can be a bit weird which is why you start going nuts lol. But once you expose the entire eye all it takes is a second to apply the contact.

Yeah I can't get eye surgery because the lens of my eyes are too thin so contacts are my only option besides glasses. Time to go eat some left-over linguine with Rao sauce for lunch while I wait to see if I'll be working 3-7 or free to do my own thing this afternoon.

I forgot you were going to get LASIK. Yeah you’ve gotta try contacts again but need to tell them upfront that you’ve been unsuccessful in the past. The good news is they give you sample ones to try out so you don’t buy until you can…

1. Get them in/out
2. Find a comfortable brand

Man, I keep getting in "arguments" with my husband about something I think everyone here will get a good laugh about. I've been having health issues, well now they think I might have narcolepsy. Part of the REAL fun part is my dreams seem so real I'm REALLY struggling to know what's real or not. (I'll dream I got up from reading at made a cup of tea, then when I wake up I reach over and there's nothing there, it's so boring and life-like I can't tell what's real) The last month or so I've been dreaming movies and TV shows, that I'd swear on my life are real and something we've watched and my husband will laugh and say no. Like the other day we started watching a season of Taskmaster (the Australia version) and the one contestant seems SUPER familiar, so I said she looks just like the woman from that other season, and I can remember her being real ditzy and funny, and not doing well. I can recall tasks, other contestants etc. I remember all ten episodes. Well we looked up all the different seasons from all countries and nope, I've dreamt the whole damn thing?!?!

How is this possible?!

Recently switched to a rotation of 3 Alexa trivia games to play in the morning - Jeopardy, Who Wants to be a Millionaire and Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader? Also recently came up with the new personal rule of - if I'm at 2 correct clues or less through the first 6 in Jeopardy, I just stop and move on with my morning. I don't play morning trivia games to become annoyed, I do it to enjoy myself and give my brain a bit of a kickstart while I get dressed.
