I got home and my laptop wouldn't connect to Wi-Fi which was no bueno. I don't know nothing about that stuff so I wasn't sure if it would fix itself or whatever. After my little pre-work nap, I'm happy to say that it's back online.

I stopped by my dad's house to get a few things I left there back in January. One was a $1,000 watch that I didn't actually know for sure where it had gone and the other is my iPod Touch. It's been dead for several months and I'm assuming it will come back on but no real signs of life yet

Yes, two baseball bay emojis for you today. Muahahahaha

I don’t think this Costco gets as many Colombians. The Diet Pepsi tastes good though

The "Fall 2024" season starts tonight for me, in Pool - although Summer went overall okay, I hope I continue doing better.

Forgot to answer this question my good man. Yes, I will be visiting them. I know I've mentioned this before (and you've forgotten before) but this will be only the second time I've seen them in 4 years. I'm a mama's boy and that's just way too long

She's got a trip planned out. She mentioned the towns she's got on the itinerary. She's been wanting me to move back East, to the Southeast more specifically, for years; even longer than they've been back there. I've always just kind of nod my head. I love California. I'm not living my best life out here but I love it. Rediscovering the Sierra last year has made me fall in love with the state even more.

For that reason, she wants us to scope out Northern Georgia since it's more mountainous up there. They're on the coast which is really nice in its own right. I mean East Coast mountains can't compare to what we have out West but I'm down to see what all there is. I believe Asheville and Gatlinburg are both on the list. I've been to Asheville and through Gatlinburg. I think a city in South Carolina will be the first place we check out. It's not Charleston but I'm hoping that we go there too as it's not that far from Brunswick I don't think.

Asheville is a beautiful area as I’m sure you already know. Driving through the blue ridge mountains = incredible. I need to get to Asheville again and visit OrbitDVD! We could meet up there haha.

If you hit, SC, you might as well go to Parris Island and get bit by some sand fleas.

Yeah…Cali is awesome but so expensive. Not sure I would want to leave either. My cousin moved out there to teach and she loves it. You need to take a road trip south to Will Rogers State Beach and take some photos where they filmed Baywatch for me.

Ha, I've heard of Orbit but didn't know they were from there. I don't remember much about Asheville but we did go to Biltmore. I've been to Mt. Airy which is where Andy Griffith grew up, so that's Mayberry. The Blue Ridge Parkway is beautiful like you say. I also remember going through Cherokee and thinking it was really pretty.

That would be cool to go to Parris Island. I've been back to MCRD San Diego one time and that was actually just a few months after Boot Camp. It would be kind of cool to see where the soft Marines are made

I have not heard of Will Rogers State Beach I don't think. I'm not familiar with it so I'll have to Google it. I'm more open to the idea of leaving California than I have been in the past, but it is a special place. Certainly not perfect but I appreciate what it offers.
I could have seen myself moving to Boston 20+ years ago. While I didn't see a whole lot of the city, that 1999 trip made quite an impression on me.

I'm feeling like some movie theater popcorn right now so I think I may got get me a large tub and then head to Costco for a soda and a sundae. I do need to buy soda this week as I finished it all last night. I just checked my checking account though and it hasn't been this bad in quite some time. I have to go another 7 or 8 days until payday. I'm just constantly thinking stingy stingy stingy which is kind of silly because I have plenty in my savings account. But I'm trying not to touch it because that's the money I'm saving up for a bike.
So yeah, I shouldn't be sweatin a $8+ tub of popcorn, but I am

Dang!!! I wish I had your thriftiness, restraint, AND your savings account. I've currently got $190 to my name and my main spending bank account is in the hole by $53.00. And my savings account has $.50 in it. I am TERRIBLE with money. I always have been. I can be better at times, but it takes a lot of CONTROL. AND for my depression not to act up. Spending/shopping is how I deal with my depression. I learned 25 years ago that people who suffer from depression can potentially fall into 4 categories to cope with depression. Food, drugs & alcohol, or spending/shopping. Not everyone does this. I can still see myself that day I read this. I mean clear as a bell. I was sitting at this booth in this restaurant having lunch. I had walked there from the college I was going to. Used to go to that place a lot. It's closed now and a high-rise apartment/condo complex is there. Not sure which, as I never had a reason to find out. In some ways, I am still that boy in that restaurant. In other ways, that boy is dead. Or if not dead, scared and hiding.

I can't say I had a bad upbringing or anything like that. It's just some things I think scarred me horribly and I've never quite recovered. Nothing my family has done really. It's mostly me. I always get in the way. I sabotage everything it seems. Even when I am supposed to be happy or was. Like last Sunday. I had a really good day and was happy. My best friend came over and we did some shopping at a local shop. Then came back to watch movies and eat pizza. No time after that I was sunk in depression. Always me getting in the way. I can't let it all be. I think it is the Autism part of me. Wish I knew sooner so I could've gotten a handle on it.

A little too late now I feel. I've known that when I'm depressed I shop for 33 years, but I didn't put two and two together until that day. That was 8 years from the first time I noticed it. Never have been able to stop it. Even with therapy. I see a therapist, a psychiatrist, and I take 3 different meds for depression. It doesn't seem to help much. I'll always be dealing with this. I just need to learn to let go of some things. Sorry for the long rant/thoughts. I've recently gotten into Tori Amos' Under The Pink again (got the Vinyl a while back and JUST got the cd). It's making me rather melancholy. Spewing this out helps not to bottle it up or button it down. Thanks for reading.

A few more train photos. 190 (PA-1) was built in Schenectady, N.Y back in ‘48. It made its way from Oregon to PA last year. Only 3 remain in the States along with 2 in Mexico.

If you're taking your medication as prescribed and it's not helping, you need to tell your doctor.

I’ve been craving Slurpees and it is probably because of the hot weather. I haven’t had a Slurpee in a decade.

Nah it’s likely your ISP. Either a service issue or likely your router. They should have free tech support.

New house though…isn’t your equipment mostly new?

I'm going to imagine yes, although I personally cannot tell what the screen on our T-Mobile router is saying.
