I can get from Point A to Point B in and out and around the city relatively quickly and VERY cheaply. Or you can get a 30-day bus pass for $60. You don't have to live in places like NYC to enjoy life without a car. I will never own a car unless I have someone who can drive me around. I don't want to deal with all the headaches that come with driving, as you mentioned.

On the subject of high theme park food prices, theme parks offer passes that give you discounts but that's more of a gimmick. We don't have passes to Disneyland. We just book our trips and pay for the parks then. It's not unreasonable at all. in fact, I would say it's cheaper to go to Disneyland for 3 days than it is to visit NYC for the same amount of time. if you know what you are doing, the parks can be SUPER cheap.

It was definitely a team thing because everyone who drives got a raise. I may be a contracted driver but I'm thinking of ordering a queen frame for my new mattress from Amazon.
