Still curious as to whatever happened to sk33tr and Scarriere. sk33tr hasn't posted in nearly 4 years but I think he was on last year. Scarriere hasn't been on in about two years I think. I remember Scarriere mentioning that he was no longer working at his job. I hope he's doing okay.
Don't expect everyone to hang around bluray.com for the rest of their lives but just that they kind of up and left, I hope they're good.

With time we all moving on.
Everything comes and goes, everyone everywhere all @ once @ different times.
Everything must go, some last some don't, some young some old, it's what it is.
They play new movies somewhere we don't even know, others rewind the old ones.
Oh, what a day, what a lovely day!

Life does get in the way, especially with kids. I didn't post one time for over 8 years (between 2015 to 2023) before I came back a couple of years ago. Before that, there were times I would post as much as over 200 times a day.

Had my tree guy come over last night and give me a quote on my next project. One tree to be removed and others to be trimmed. I love me a good looking yard.

I agree...nothing like kicking back once it is all cleaned up and tidy and sitting back to admire your work in the evening with a beverage in hand.

I'll be trimming my fiancee's hedges and cleaning the yard up this weekend myself. She actually has someone to cut the grass, so that's one less thing I have to do.

I'm dumbfounded so many people are still wearing masks. The pandemic must've done a real number on some folks, turned them into rabid germophobes. I'm convinced some of those people are doing it to hide their identities

I imagine that that for some, they wanted to wear masks before the pandemic, but didn’t due to people thinking they may be up to nefarious things. The pandemic had normalized people wearing masks and it gave them the excuse to keep wearing them. I doubt it has anything to do with covid since there are vaccines and pills one can take for it these days for those that may still worry about that.

He's always doing that. CivicX loves to fantasize about the members here in all sorts of weird scenarios. Sometimes they involve him in it as well. Like that time he imagined picking up his date and it was Fors* in a kilt/skirt with a blonde wig.

That very thing happened to me. After my fiancé passed, I quit posting here and on any other forums, I frequented. I would lurk, but that is all I would do. It was like that for 9 years. I think it was 10 years here.

Be careful. I got zapped by a demon hornet last year trimming the hedges and it swelled up my hand for days.

We used to have a wasp's/hornet's nest in the grill at the house I grew up in. I always hated that thing. I'd have to go and get the spare key out of it sometimes to get in the house.

I try and make sure the week is a positive one, but on and off here I can be tested. If things are going better I start to wonder when something bad will happen. I never understand (and never will) why some members look for anything posted so they can knock you down (eg: nitpicks). I see arguments on here and stuff that goes on in threads that goes on for days without anything being done about it.

Then there are the good things why I enjoy coming on here. You know who your friends are.

And when someone says they're not able to get physical media titles when they can, I see what they say and are understanding and non-zero tolerant.

The time just seems to whizz by on each visit here. I would like to make more posts, but I'd rather make half a dozen good posts than make twenty-plus posts that I'm not happy with (if I am replying to more than one member I make sure to use the Multi-quote function).

I do not believe I've seen The Haunting of Morella, but I probably should considering it's from Edgar Allan Poe with Eggert as the lead. Not good, eh?

I was never a huge fan of Baywatch Nights but I would probably revisit it for the nostalgia factor and Baywatch cameos. I liked how they plugged the show on Baywatch from time to time.
Red Acura NSX-T on Baywatch - YouTube

D'Errico was gorgeous but she's all plastic now. I believe you're correct that she appeared on Baywatch Nights first. Nights got pretty crazy as it started out as a PI show. In the second season, they tried to compete with The X-Files and it became a supernatural mystery show lol. Unlike Baywatch, it did not receive a Blu-ray release in Germany and that's probably a good thing!

It is a shame they removed all the original music from the show after it was remastered. It completely ruins the show, imo. They also made some drastic cuts. For example, in one of the episodes you have Little Richard working in a beach burger place and singing, etc. The entire point of him being featured on the show was for him to sing. They cut all of it. I think the episode is only 28 minutes. Even songs sung by Hassellhoff himself ended up being changed! There's another episode with the music from Casablanca and it's all cut. Such a mess. I feel sorry for those streaming the show on Prime Video as they're really missing out. I do see a few posts pop up on Reddit every now and then with people asking why the music is so obviously bad.

This is sadly common practice these days when it comes to TV shows and rights. I never got to experience the original music from The Odd Couple.

For the German Blu-ray release, I was very happy they included the original, unedited episodes with the music intact as a bonus feature. Yeah...it's only in standard def, but that's how Baywatch was always meant to be seen and enjoyed.
sfmarine, thanks for the reminder of Nicole Eggert in Baywatch. I'd forgot about her, compared to Yasmine Bleeth. Baywatch was shown here regularly on Saturday afternoons/early evenings, and was doing well until the BBC started to repeat sitcom Dad's Army and those repeats started regularly beating it in the ratings. I don't know if ITV moved the show to another timeslot for the remaining seasons, but I don't recall seeing them (I know David Chokachi was on the show until Season 9 before production moved to Hawaii).

Some Baywatch Nights season 1 episodes were shown here late at night, but I don't remember seeing any of season 2 when it became an X-Files imitator. Angie Harmon made a crossover appearance on an episode of Baywatch as her character from the spin-off ("Sail Away" from the sixth season).

There was a long wait for the third season of The Streets of San Francisco to be released on DVD in the States, partly or wholly because of music clearance reasons (the episode "Mask of Death" has a song or two in it). And apparently the reason why we have still not had the second and final season of Mr. Novak on DVD is because of one music track causing clearance issues.

I was wondering about Scarriere as well. He used to be pretty active. I seem to remember him saying there was something unfavorable going on and wasn't sure if he'd be back here. I hope all is well...

This is one thing I don't like about audio forums, particularly those two particular audio forums who claim to be for science. You post a question, and they make a point of not providing an answer and instead tell you what you should be doing about your life, the universe, and everything.

Because you know, it's a cult for science.

If I see anything on here that can bring my mood or/and enthusiasm down, I do my best to switch off from and ignore it. If I see a question asked by a fellow member and can answer it, I reply to them as best as possible and politely (I treat someone as I would like to be treated). And if I can't answer the question, I may still reply and apologise for not being able to help, adding that hopefully someone else can answer their question.

I don't lecture people and don't like mind games. Life is too short. Someone could be having a bad day and if you can cheer someone up, then I see that as a good thing.
