I only saw the HBO/Discovery one. A few people online said it’s a better doc than the Netflix one. Odd that they both dropped the same week. Like it was a race or something. I’m sure this won’t be the last time we hear about Titan or Stockton Rush.

I don't think there are many people who don't dread going to the dentist. Had my twice yearly check-up today, and thankfully it went fine. The same couldn't be said about the weather during part of this afternoon (at least I didn't get drenched compared to a week ago () when a driver deliberately drove into a pool of water during a downpour when they had room to drive around it (I was walking along a footpath away from the kerb of the footpath using an umbrella (I hope they had a pleasant afternoon after that).

At least this wasn’t you.

Oh, I hate the dentist with a passion. I finally found a good one and went regularly for nearly 10 years until COVID hit. My dentist sent me a letter that he was retiring. Guess that was a good time to get out of the business. The new guy I go to is freaking rough especially with the novocaine injection- he really jabs it into your gums.

On the trivial side of things, that pair of shoes at the time has finally dried out (at the time I was going to get a haircut). I was on a bit of a downer on that day and that didn't help matters. Today with the dentist appointment, we were supposed to get thunderstorms this afternoon, but thankfully we didn't (difficult to predict where they occur).

I had some teeth out a long time ago and it still gives me the shivers thinking about those injections and the drilling. With the regular check-up, what I don't like is the scraping with the water pipe (trying not to gargle). Then there are the sensitive teeth.

United Kingdom The Dollars trilogy - delays and non-delays

I'm not too surprised and I would rather they get the release done right, but I can understand the frustration if you have an order that won't ship until everything is in stock. From my point of view, on the plus side with this delay, I might go and pre-order some other UK titles that while one of them has too been delayed, they'll still be out before The Good... is out in the first half of August.

Was going to start watching them as they're released, but I have decided to wait until all of the trilogy has been released before starting watching them. Had another look at the list of extras/bonus features for The Good... earlier, and one of the extras that I'm especially interested in seeing is the documentary on the fourth disc in the LE Blu-ray set that is about the cemetery set.

I've read a bunch of comments; seems to me that both kind of complement each other

I really wanna go see the new Mission Impossible movie but I find it so hard to leave the comfort of my apartment on my free time, even with a small local theater just a couple of miles away. And that's another thing: I like to watch big spectacles in premium auditoriums with an audience, as rowdy as that experience can be sometimes. I don't want to be the only one in the theater on a Saturday afternoon in a strip mall style multiplex. The nearest large scale theater is a subway stop away from my job in another city. But if I go after work on Friday to see a nearly 3 hour film, chances are good I'll fall asleep no matter how good the movie is. Lol. Going to the movies used to be so much fun

I am worried about air travel and since I don't have a car it has to be shipped anyway. I've not flown in over 4 years so I am kinda nervous especially with this Administration

There was a period of time not too terribly long ago when Vizio made some really good TVs. It's painfully obvious that time has passed, what garbage they produce now.

My corporate overlords must be satiated with the souls that they've claimed over the past few work weeks, so they've decided to let us out of their evil clutches a few hours early. So looks like I'll be dousing myself in booze prior to even Happy Hour today.

Worked late last night, so I'm gonna cut out early. House is empty so I think I'll go crank up the tunes, and most certainly also pop on a movie.

Yeah I hate the ones that seem to purposefully try to make you regret you are alive by jamming their entire fist into your mouth while putting what seems like all their bodyweight on your jaw. I mean, forget the needle lol. Seems to be common with male dentists. I used to have a dentist some years ago that was an expert in painless gum injections. And she never missed, either, always got it on the first try. I would always ask/tell her, "That was it? I didn't feel a thing!"

I briefly had one around 2017 when I first upgraded to UHD, one of the "P" series TVs if I recall. The blacks on it were excellent, but damn was the software glitchy AF. I ended up returning it.

I had a P50 myself back in the day, a GREAT TV, and still have a P65 in the living room which still looks great and performs well, but after that they went downhill fast.

Wondering how tonight is going to go. By the time I start work, I'll have about 1.5 hours of sleep in a little over 24 hours. I got a little nap this morning after work before I went riding with my buddy. I tried to get some more rest around 5pm or so and I wasn't able to fall asleep. I'm going to head into work and try and get a little rest in the parking lot. If by chance I wake up late, at least I'll be right there and can just wal...stumble in.
