My cousin invited me to his beach house for the 4th. The traffic will be insane plus it’s a good 4 hour cruise. We’ll see.

I'm spending the 4th of July weekend at my niece's house. I don't really enjoy spending more than a day at someone else's house since I never feel the same level of comfort I do at my own place. Plus my niece's fiancee is a mile a minute talker who is also a bit of a hot head. Not really my style. Not to mention that, because they have a couple of kids, the TV is always playing cartoons. Yeah, not really looking forward to it.

I was driving behind two cars on my way to the gas station this morning, and the driver in front of me nearly rear ended the guy in front of him because he didn't use a turn signal when pulling into a driveway. He honked the horn in frustration, rightfully so. Well, this angry man did the same thing to me not even half a mile down the road. I did not honk, though. I laughed. I laugh because if I don't then I shall surely go mad. These little annoyances have been adding up over the years, btw, so just know that I am not well. Not by a long shot. I hate people so much it's unreal.

I know I'm old and crusty at this point, but these days I just give them the exaggerated shrug. To me, not using one's signals is a sign of poor communication and discourteous behavior. They're there for a reason, use 'em on the road and the highway, pretty simple.

Three times last weekend I was nearly hit. And these people have no regard for others; not even a "Oh shit! my bad, i'm sorry!" nothing. And I see this crap all the time. I really wish this was the 'Wild West' so I could deliver street justice.

It explains the way car insurance rates have risen so much of late....I can't afford to pay for my car insurance with my 16 year old son added to it, so that is basically on hold right now.

Not in this town. They are as useless as the do not remove tags on pillows. No one is this town uses the turn signal. They don't even stop at red lights. I saw some idiot this morning speeding up to a yellow light and continue on through. Despite the fact that the light had turned red long before they got up to the light. Like a good 2-3 seconds. There's a reason we have song called Drive Like a Nashvillian. It's also the reason the state passed a roadkill bill. If SF lived here he could eat all the squirrels that he runs over if he wants.

Yeah I would keep him off of it unless you fully trust him. Myself i would never trust anyone under 20 attached to my driving record, one accident or ticket and your talking 6 years of increased rates, most take you all the way back to the last step and you are talking thoudands extra a year,

If your kid doesn't want to listen to you being smart, show him my post, kid go get a job and pay the 5k a year insurance yo damn self!

While out for a walk earlier today, I spotted more drivers not using their indicators than those who did. And yes, I've spotted the behaviour by people of putting indicators on just after they've turned left or right. A lot of road vehicles not equipped with indicators. And you're having to second guess what some road users are going to do on the road.
