Giving serious thought to getting off the audio upgrade bandwagon.

You need to enlighten us Johnny V......you can't have a name like that without an explanation of such a drastic action.

Thank the people that built large factories that spew toxic ash into the atmosphere, during the so called "industrial Revolution"

So it's revolutionary to destroy our air, our water, our trees, our wild life, our health?

Not to worry....I'm not selling or getting out of it. Just thinking if I really need to upgrade anymore. There are other things in life besides an audio system.

I'm glad your thought process has changed Lemmy and there are things of course we can all do but I agree with Scarface,it is more down to the massive corporation's in the world than the basic man at home leaving a lamp on or not recycling a milk carton.

It's only been in the 60s and 70s here in NYC and a lot of people are wearing shorts. I really don't understand how 60/70 degree weather is warm enough for shorts. I really wonder if people today are out of their mind or something.

Nothing wrong with wearing shorts in those temps.

I don't know. I'm cold when wearing pants. I'm there feeling chili in my jacket and jeans and those people are walking comfortably in tank tops and shorts. I don't know. I guess maybe I feel colder than the average person. Lack of body heat, maybe?

I guess it's a matter of perspective, but temperature in the 70s seems plenty warm enough for shorts.

Simon Andrews who was seriously injured road racing here on Saturday.

The horrific accident footage on-line is shocking.

The 'North West 200' has claimed quite a few lives, most famously with the Dunlop brothers. I don't think I could watch the online footage. The idea of watching someones death on screen is a little nauseating for me.

I didn't realise the news had came through that he died.....although when I watched it I really didn't expect him to live.

Road racing is a crazy sport and fair play to the guys who do it but this again brings it home.

My thoughts are with his friends and family.

It's a crazy sport indeed, very dangerous!. Yet again, it's the adrenaline rush that makes them race.

They're doing something they love...nothing wrong with that, unfortunately when something tragic like this happens it is the families left to pick up the pieces.

I keep buying stuff that breaks and its making me cuckoo! If Panasonic won't repair my TV I'm out. Have spent too much money for the stuff for it to last a year or two. Other ways I can spend the money.

I'm writing an exam about economic globalization right now. Yeah we are definitely living beyond the earths capacities. The good news: the president of Uruguay is damn cool and may mark a small turning point. If he can be elected then there must be some support for an alternative system: http://en.mercopress.com/2013/09/25/...obalized-world
