I also hate summer (although there are benefits I'm not a 'crowd' type of person either and the two combined are not great. I much prefer a nice, slightly cold day with a lovely fresh feel when walking. The heat just saps all my energy.

It's 'couldn't care less' sorry, but it bugs me when people use that phrase lol

That's why I don't like to rent. I often don't get around to watching until after the rental period ends.

It's LoveFilm,I can hang on to them as long as I want so that's not an issue although I generally like to watch them and send them back so that I can get the next two posted out to me but my Blu-ray watching will....and has decreased during the World Cup.

Nope! Nothing. Not sure why they went that route by not putting buttons on the TV itself. Makes no sense at all.

Hockey is over.
Just a couple months until football and I can also watch the Blue Jays to tide me over.

No, it isn't and here's why. If you tell someone you could care less, it's akin to telling them if you keep on with your BS, then you won't hear another word from me. Whereas, if you tell someone you 'couldn't care less', it means you literally 'could care less', or else you wouldn't have said anything at all.

Today I thought I would ask for a week off work, starting tomorrow. It's pretty much the last opportunity to take leave for the next couple of months. We've just entered our busiest time of the year, no leave will be approved next month and the month after. I feel that I need it, it's been a tough year so far. My old man was diagnosed with prostate cancer right at the end of last year. Luckily it was found early. He had an operation to remove it mid January. It took him a couple of months to recover. Though there is a small amount of remaining cancer cells, last week he started radiotherapy, which he needs to do almost every day for the next couple of months. It's hard seeing him go through it. To make matters worse, especially for my dad, my pop (my dad's old man) passed away 2 weeks ago. This come only 2 months after my fiancées grandpa, he also passed away in April.

Sorry to hear that. Is it true that many people who have prostrate cancer die of something else because it grows so slowly? I guess that would apply to older people but maybe that is the case with your dad?

Today I leaned that the FDIC insures up to $250,000. When did they up it from $100,000?
