I remember several years ago when I had my wisdom teeth taken out. It was hell.

The worst part is using the syringe on the holes in your mouth.

Yeah I agree, that part sucked.

My whole procedure was bad because I had a dry socket they later had to rip open and fix.

I have a syringe but I don't remember him saying anything about it. I was kind of out of it.

It's for flushing out your holes so that no food stays in there while the holes heal.

use it to clean out the pockets after you start eating again. the last thing u want is a "dry socket."

but once u're feeling better and can eat again, that's what that is for. fill it up, squirt it into each of the holes to clean them out.

enjoy the vicodin!!

Is it bad I still can't feel my mouth? It's now been 5 hours since my operation and my mouth is still numb and bleeding.

So I think I have nerve damage on the right side of my jaw. I just realized that the left side of my face feels fine while the whole right side is still numb. This is great. Exactly why I didn't want to do this damn procedure.

you don't think it could be residual from the numbing process?

I don't know. I keep looking things up and I see it should last about two hours. I know the Doctor said my tooth was close the to the nerve and sometimes numbness can last up to hours, days or 6 months, or the worse, permanent. I didn't think about it until I realized the left side of my jaw is not numb at all now but the right is. I know the nerves are separate so that's why I think my right is messed up. I just hope I'm worrying too much. It's just annoying me having my jaw numb still after all this time. Just hopes it's better when I wake up. Sorry for freaking

Try not to worry too much! I was looking on the net too. I know that when I have anything done where they have to numb the area, I am usually numb for most of the rest of the day, I guess I just take longer to recover from it.
Hopefully tomorrow morning you will be back to feeling ok.

As a parent of two young girls who've had some rather serious medical issues in the last 4 months, I urge you not to look online at medical info. It'll drive you crazy and you'll conclude that you're dying of entomophobia or some other innane and unrelated problem.

Call your doctor if you have questions.

It'll bleed for a while, then when the clots form, make sure you don't drink through a straw and get dry sockets. Enjoy the time off, you'll feel better after 24-48 hrs after the surgery.

Well the whole numbing of the the jaw thing I heard from the Doctor. They show you the X-ray let you see that's it's really close to the nerve. Then he told me there is a chance that it could be damaged and you can lose the feeling for a certain time. I probably am just worrying too much but I was just curious how long the numbness should last. If it's bothering me tomorrow then of course the Doctor is my first option. I live in Germany on an American base so Doctor's are not always around unless you go off base.

I have DIABETES, I think I win. On the happy side, my blood sugar has been over 100 only 3 out of the last 13 times I've tested it so again I think I'm really starting to get it under control.

Have you ever needed to find something and you've looked everywhere!? Time is your enemy, you need it now! And all your wife can say is "if you put it where it belongs, you'd know where it is."

We are not an apple shop and when we say that we do not provide support of PERSONAL equipment. Do not bring me your company BB and your HOME IPhone and request for data to be moved from BB to IPhone. Then proceed to become demanding and unruly when I say "No, we don't support IPhones"

Friday? where are you Friday?!
