Trying to figure out what's going on with my daughter, she was suspended from school for the next 3 days for fighting (she nearly broke a kid's nose which could've resulted in assault charges). She won't explain her actions, none of this is like her - she's always been a quiet/shy kid, suddenly she's talking back and fighting. The only thing she said about this particular situation was "He had it coming." My oldest nephew said he saw part of the fight at school (he's only 2 grades below her) and said the boy she was fighting was older and a known bully, which has me wondering if she was truly defending herself (or possible someone else?), but that doesn't explain why she didn't tell anyone that, since that may have given her a lighter punishment.

I'm wondering if there was some harassment going on here. I went through some of that (especially after I developed) and boys were pretty lewd. One boy I pushed hard into a locker because he made a grab at me. He never did it again. I never told anyone because it's frankly embarrassing and I didn't want my mother going to the school to make life more difficult. Back then, us girls were expected to put up with it. We did. I was angry a lot and did my share of back-talking because I didn't want to take it anymore. I only talked to other girls which did help some.

Depending on the child, it's very common for someone being bullied to act out and not want to talk about it because of embarrassment for the situation.

In 5th grade this boy tormented me for stupid reasons, even going so far as to ruin a brand new pair of white Ked's (it was the 90s...) and my parents knew what was going on and tried to encourage me to stand up to him. I was timid and didn't want to do anything so I let it continue, which was kinda silly on my part as my mom offered me $100 to knock the hell out of him. Anyway, one day I was getting off the bus and he tried to stomp another pair of shoes and I turned around and busted him in the head with my trapper keeper into the side of the bus door. I didn't get in trouble with my parents, but the boys parents tried to cause problems and I couldn't ride the bus for a week.

Given how much more bullying goes on now, plus cyber-bullying, she either had enough and acted out and is embarrassed by the reason why she was getting tormented or she stood up for someone else. Maybe she's worried you'll be mad. Just assure her if it was for a good reason you won't be upset with her and see if you can talk it out.

Well that is a possibility...My daughter's always been a tom boy, so I didn't even consider that. I'm gonna have my fiancee speak to her in the morning when she gets home from work, of course if that is the problem I wonder if talking about it could make it worse? She knows she can come to me with any problem, but I guess there is some things girls will only feel comfortable talking to other girls about. I Just don't want her to think fighting is the answer.

I left for a year, came back and my account was locked. made the Ben Reilly account and was told that Gold was a "sock" account, whatever that is...
Then the Ben account was locked for the same reason.
I was able to, through a friend here, get in touch with mods/admins and get this account back.
