I know I have Nocturnal Animals, but can't find it. Someone is clearly breaking into my home at night, and just stealing BDs. It's the only thing that makes sense.

Thermodynamics, by definition, is only possible if something comes from nothing, which is a contradiction. At minimum energy this is still observable, so they say. So then, of what use is defined order to biological decay, other than an expensive headstone, if the majority of scientific theory is privy to a select few?

You can never go wrong with pizza, ever. I ended up ordering some Chinese. Haven't had any in a long while.

Went to take the dog out and while he was trying to go some person's dog just came in our yard. He Just started following us around. We had to take our dog inside, and my fiancé had to stay on the porch with the other dog because he just didn't leave and kept trying to get into our house when he'd open the door.

Such a weird experience, haha.

thinking of going back to my old job.

well, at least the same type of work (sort of); not at the same company.

i'm really not happy with my current job. the good part is that i can pretty much pick the times i'm available (with my current status) and really only work when i want to. we're open 24 hours and if you go full time, you have to have open availability' meaning they can schedule you whenever they want. when i first started there, they used to schedule me real late one night, say till about midnight, then schedule me in the next morning at 8:00. by law, they have to give us at least 8 hours between shifts. but it takes me at least 30 minutes to get there and 30 minutes to get home...sometimes more depending on traffic, so that's an hour right there. then, when i go to bed, it takes me a good hour, or more, to get to sleep. so that's more time lost. so when they did that, i'd only get about 5 hours, maybe a little over, of sleep (i get up about 2 hours before my shift begins to give me enough time to eat breakfast, get ready, make the drive, etc.) so i changed my availability to where i couldn't work that late. the down side is that i don't get that many hours. and that brings us to my predicament.

i'd really like, and could really use, more money. and i know that means i'd have to work more hours to do so. i currently have fridays and saturdays off, and i really like that. but if i changed and went back to my former job-type, then i'd definitely be giving up my fridays and saturdays. and that brings me to another predicament. i have season tickets and i really don't want to give those up. i put too much money into them.

so that's what's on my mind. should i change jobs and go with something i really know how to do and do well? or should i stay where i know i'll be not happy if i stay there too much longer?

it seems like an easy answer...but not from all sides.

@sk33tr Which ever job allows you to keep more money in your pocket. Retirement is the goal, right?

while that can be an incentive, i tend to go with whichever one makes me happiest.

a lot of people don't get my reasoning on that one, though. but i will always put happiness above money.

Don't be like that. Life can be pretty good when you put yourself into it.
Hang in there!

Haven't had a cigarette in 5 days, still dip a little to wean off the nicotine. My energy level is through the roof. Already got an hour walk in this morning, and now I'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs until 9am, for BAM to open. Mom's birthday is in 2 days, and one of the books she wants comes out today. Had 2 cups of coffee, if I have another I'll probably pace around in circles until a portal opens up in the carpet.

That scheduling sounds like a huge PITA! Reminds me of my retail days, I'd have my schedule set to "open availability" and they'd schedule me 8 days in a row for 8 hours a day. Of course due to company policies they'd always ask me to leave an hour or two early or take an extended lunch to keep me from getting OT pay. I didn't mind the hours (even the 8 days straight) but hated that they'd schedule me for that many hours but do everything in their power to keep me from going over 40. I transferred out to Logistics 2 years ago, got a better schedule(4 10-12hr days) with open overtime opportunities most of the year.

yeah, where i work now doesn't like to pay ot unless we're really busy. and even then, it has to be authorized by someone in upper management.

and even if they schedule you for 40 hours, you get a 30-minute lunch taken out each day, so you lose 2.5 hours each week.

and i really wouldn't mind doing a 10-hour day for 4 days a week. my neighbor's son does that and he gets a 3-day weekend every week. i REALLY wouldn't mind that, lol.

I wonder what goes on in the minds of these types of people who have internet Napoleon complex and go around seeking validation from others, while also looking to get offended and blow a gasket at the first sign of a differing opinion. He says he wants an "honest review," but what he's actually saying is that his wants this person who has absolutely nothing to do with his life to give an opinion that matches his own. Why? What would that even accomplish?
