Have you ever considered that reality as we know it is just one of many possible realities within the same universe? Forget about the Multiverse theory, I’m talking about multiple pockets of reality within a single Universe. Imagine if you will, that you could build a space ship fast enough to outrun the ever expanding Universe, and you could jump from one pocket to another, you could be in a reality in which the laws of physics are completely different to our own. It would have to be a really fast ship though, since this theory suggests that under normal circumstances we’d never be able to reach other realities since the Universe expands faster than we can travel, so even if we are headed in a straight line toward another pocket, it will always be out of our reach.

Well, in case anyone was still wondering, I didn't get the job at Target. I woke up Wednesday morning and had an email from the hiring team saying they were unable to offer me a position at this time. About what I expected after the way my interview went.
But it amazes me how hard it is to get hired for an entry level position where you just push around and unpack boxes all day. Last edited by Michael24; 10-19-2017 at 08:46 PM. |

and, unfortunately, yes, i can. so many companies these days want someone they can just throw on the floor and not teach them anything. and then of course get mad when they don't know how to do anything job-related. but even for entry-level jobs now, they want someone who is very smart, has some post-high school education, or more. OR, they want someone who has a ton of experience doing the same job. and my complaint was always, "how the hell am i supposed to get experience if i can't get a job that gives me experience?" it's like they want you to go to school and get some type of education in stacking boxes and re-stocking product on shelves. i paid about $53k for 2 associate degrees. and i can't even find a job making half of what i should with those degrees. and it's nowhere NEAR the field for either of those degrees. i even have over 15 years of management experience, yet can't find a job even in middle-management paying just a little more than what i currently make. i applied a few times to an assistant manager position with my current company (and even twice to a management position below that), and was never considered. hell, i only got like 2 interviews total out of applying all those times. yet the ones they give the job to have no management experience whatsoever. sorry to derail your thoughts and your post. but every time i think about things like that it just gets under my skin. you bust your ass for a few years, then try to move to in a different direction and nothing you did prior, or nothing you did to try and better yourself helps out in any way. but don't give up the fight. you'll get something you /needwant/like eventually. |

Rims. All I can think about is tomorrow I'm going to pick out some 22s. So around Wednesday my car...will be...freaking awesome! Best early Christmas gift ever. I have 2 Fosgate P3 12s in a box ready to rock & roll, just need to buy an amp, and everything will be right in the world.

^ Damn, that car is bítchin. Looks like a BMW kit in the second. I had a slammed 97 Accord in the military, but my interior wasn't nearly that nice. I drive a Challenger SRT8 these days. Thought I posted it under the Anton account, maybe not.

[Show spoiler] I'm not sure I've seen your car. You should post some pics here or in the "your car" thread. I'm sure 22's will look great on it! Do you know what style you're going with? |

lol well that's probably one of the things they're feeling! Seriously, my dad can go on and on about traffic and how people just have to slow down and see what's going on. Traffic, caused by an accident sucks, but like I said, just be thankful you're not the on in the accident. Even if you're not really hurt, it's still going to **** up your day.
