Gets sticky hot in East Texas. Some days it feels like the sun it trying to hug you to death, as it gouges your eyes. Yesterday I probably lost a couple pounds just from washing my car. lol I used my sweat drops to clean up some of the water spots, on the final wipe down.

Think I'll go ahead and pull this movie out of my wish list and delete it..

It was only there as a reminder anyway, just in case I thought about getting it down the road..
But after watching this, I do not think I'll ever care for it.

The video starts out by saying SPOILER!!!

Central A/C could potentially be very expensive - is it really necessary to cool an entire house? To me it makes more sense having individual units cooling rooms that are actually occupied when needed. Most homes aren't even built with the proper ductwork to accommodate HVAC system so installing one is another big expense.

where i live, having central a/c is basically a necessity. and you'd be hard pressed to find a home here that doesn't have it installed. also, many new houses now have 2 or more zones, regarding the a/c unit, so you can choose to cool one part of the house and not another if no one is in that part. they're very efficient and can save a good bit of money in the long run.

BUT...if you live in an area where it's not common to have central a/c, then you can go with a duct-less system. that way, each room can have it's own unit and you only run the ones you want/need. they're not really cheap, but, again, it's cheaper in the long run.

The house I live in has 3 cooling units. 1 for the biggest room, 1 for most of the upstairs and 1 for the downstairs. Later this summer I will be the only one here for about four months so I will only be running the AC in the parts of the house I spend most of my time in. No reason to run up the electric bill when I am the only one here.

I just have one system for the majority of my house. Majority because the lowest level of the house doesn't have ducts but remains somewhat cooled.

Didn't even know there was an Atari thread. But yeah, after watching those videos I kinda want one even more now.

Taking the final work break of the day, so glad tomorrow's Friday. Kinda odd to have July 4th right in the middle of the week this year.

Yeah I hate it when it falls on a Wednesday. If it falls on a Tuesday or Thursday, we are usually given that Monday or Friday for a 4 day weekend.

Same here. The only holiday I get off is Christmas and even that day isn't paid...

We get Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years (paid). As for Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day if we don't request off, we have to work. Although we do get paid extra for working the holiday(s).

What’s on my mind?
If a liquid takes the shape of its container, and so can a cat, does that mean cats are liquid?
