yep!

i've watched that video quite a few times and it never gets old.

and i've watched several videos with actual county sheriffs talking about how people should definitely exercise their 2nd amendment rights, daily. because when trouble comes looking for you, you won't have time to call the cops and wait up to 11 minutes for them to show up. not to mention what the 3 cops in my family have told me time and time again.

Yes sir!

Might be the same for you in Alabama, but here in Kentucky you'll see people open carrying in Krogers, Walmart, etc...

I have a CCDW permit, so I carry concealed myself since I normally wear untucked shirts
But if I ever had to go out with my shirt tucked in I'd open carry

^ I think we should get rid guns entirely (everyone on the planet) and go back to using swords. Look your foe in the eyes as you slice them down.

With the right type gun and ammo, you can pick someone off from 200 yards away. That’s not very sporting.

not too many people open carry, here; even though it's legal. everyone i know carries concealed. i always do. i used to have a tuckable holster when i had a glock. it was very comfortable and easy to conceal with a tucked in shirt. i need to get another one for my 1911. currently i just have a kydex holster that hides nicely under a t-shirt or any shirt not tucked in.

there's a shelf above my desk. it's high up on the wall and i put my collector's edition movies/tv shows up there. well, i was just sitting here on the computer, looking something up, and all of a sudden, 6 of them came crashing down.

none of them hit me, or broke anything on the desk or my dresser that sits next to it. but a couple of corners got a bit banged up. nothing major, just some paint flaked off, that sort of stuff. but it scared the hell out of me when it happened.

and the reason they did was because the shelf was leaning forward just a bit. it's a floating shelf and i guess the bracket i made wasn't a perfect cut on the backside and it made it lean forward a bit. so i went out to my shop, cut some shims, pulled the shelf off the bracket, loosened the lag screws enough to push the bracket up a bit, and pushed the shims up under the bottom edge of the bracket. now, it tilts back just a tiny bit. but i'd rather it tilt back than forward.

but i gotta tell ya, when it happened the very first thing i thought of was your post, lol.
Yikes! That would definitely have scared the hell out of me, too. Anything sudden, I don't deal well with. A couple of weeks ago I'm sitting at my computer, in the dark as usual, and for some reason (still unknown) my golf bag fell over. Man, did that make a ton of noise and absolutely scared the living heck out of me.

I suppose this is why jump scares in horror movies work really well on me.

I can do that

I've got 3 Cane Swords that I do use (only when really needed cause I hate having to use canes ) since I'm disabled,
and a bunch of Edged Weapons ( Knives, Bayonets, etc... )

PS
I haven't done it for years now, but I use to be pretty good at using Throwing Stars

I was hoping to add a cane sword to my collection, but since they are classified as a "concealed weapon" they’re illegal in New York. Amazon wouldn’t even ship one to me. Which is especially stupid considering Amazon had no problem sending me a pen knife (knife blade hidden inside the body of a pen).

Vodka: as long as you bust your ass breaking the mindset of the most moist: you will defend those of whom you most disagree with.

Vodka is on my mind nearly 24/7. But lately I've really been trying to cut back, if not practically quit. It was getting pretty out of hand there.

Chuck Norris once urinated in a semi trucks gas tank as a joke. That truck is now known as Optimus Prime.

It snowed up here at work yesterday. That’s not a normal thing and I’m glad it’s gotten a bit nicer. But it’s a good lil reminder of what’s in store for me in the not too distant future.
😕

That tells you just how far North he is. Winter is coming and Santa needs those toys made
Reminds me of some pics I have of left over snow during the July 4th weekend. I was at about 10,000 feet.

Why is the youth of today so stupid? When I was a youth, I knew of things from the past. I knew Hydrox predated Oreos. I knew that black and white TVs were a thing. I even knew that some cars had hand cranks to start the engine.

I just came across a kid that argued with me that Hydrox copied Oreo, and didn’t believe me that Hydrox came first until I brought it up on Google.
