Oh crap my fiancee just advised me that my little girl has become a young lady today. Guess taking her out back to toss the football/baseball or to my pop's garage to work on cars is a pastime memory now :-( wtf does a 34yr old guy know about raising young women?

Just had another big jolt here in California. A 6.9 quake, in the same place as the 6.4 yesterday down south in Kern County. I didn't feel that one, but definitely felt this latest one, even about 300 miles away. Was a subtle swaying here, and for a second I almost thought I was suddenly getting lightheaded for some reason until I realized it was an earthquake. Was pretty freaky.

EDIT: Apparently, USGS has upgraded it to a 7.1 now. Damn!

It's sad to see male-dominated internet forum #17,904,356 rife with so many toxic, 19th-century attitudes about anything that isn't white/male/straight/cis/American/etc dominated.

Oh well, at least there's actually some non-toxic discussion about blu rays and movies around here.

Wondering how this rescheduled interview with the no show is going to go? I’d sooner go look for my missing center wheel caps off a busy highway than keep the appointment, but I’m curious to what they’ll say about it and how it will go to cancel. I’ve got a bad feeling it is commission driven more than hourly. Which will be unfortunate, as I like the idea of being on my own and delivering to existing customers.

I just bounced this off my wife and there’s no real way to shut off 911. You could try shutting it off in the settings menu, but I’m thinking it accidentally called in your lock screen

Considering going out to lunch. The branch manager was a no show again today. So a couple of the drivers were supposed to interview me () and then take me on a delivery ride along. Where is the line of communication breaking down there? Despite getting on with them fine, I said no. I was there to be interviewed by the branch manager. Because if this is how he is with interviews, how is he at communicating with his employees?
