The issues with II bug me more I guess. Including the changes in line delivery, and the fact that it totally knackers the ending of I, by having Biff continue to be a jerk after being knocked down by George. It just raises questions about what happened in the intervening 30 years that turned him into George's helper. He waxes his cars, he brings in the books, he even calls him Mr. McFly. But the last time we see Biff he's just as jerky and a bully and covered in manure.

Then by 2015 he's back to being his insufferable self as Gramps Biff.

Outside of that though, I love the trilogy, its definitely my favorite, and can't wait to own it in 4K.

Hope they include some movie replica memorabilia with the set. Maybe Doc's Letter to Marty from 1885, or a tiny hover board, or maybe Doc's time Machine model from 1885 with the double A batteries as the vents. Something unique like that.
Lets not forget the fact that in part 1 before George knocks him out he was basically raping Lorane and yet there all good friends? I love BTTF but there are so many issues with the movie script that some things just make 0 sense.

I literally cannot wait for the UHDs. Got a huge urge to revisit the films now since this is still about 6 months out.

True, and he technically does return to an alternate timeline. Except its very similar to the actual timeline. That's made a bit more clear with the deleted scene of Biff fading away after returning.

I would not say they are friends, George is basically his boss now. But still your point stands.

And yes II makes that even weirder since there's no apparent change in Biff there after the knockout.

So just because you don't care for them, others shouldn't be able to have them on 4K? Makes sense.

The audience didn't know that at the end of part 2. All we knew was that Doc was in 1885, Marty races back to the Town Square, 1955 Doc passes out and we get a To Be Continued logo.

The reveal about the car came in part 3. In hindsight it's obvious how that would solve this but to 11 year old me it pretty "heavy."

There was a gap between Back to the Future and the sequels, which hurt the storylines Bob Gale and Robert Z were mulling around (plus they lost their leading lady, Marty's love interest, and replaced her with Elizabeth Sue, which was so jarring they decided to mostly cut her character out of the sequels and that changed things yet again). They couldn't come up with a new villain or their ideas were not fully formed in the interim when Universal finally gave them the green light to make more, so they "rebooted" Biff's character in BTTF 2. They couldn't wait any longer on the screenplays as the cast would have looked so much older.

That was not one of my favorite changes for sure.

Yeah you're missing the fact or mis-read that the question being asked of "How did Marty get to 1885 with no car" was being asked in the context of 'before' Back To The Future Part 3 had been released. Whereas you're placing the question in the context of after the film had been seen. Well of course we know the answer once we'd seen the film, but we didnt know 'before' we'd seen it.

Well Claudia was replaced due to her mother being diagnosed with cancer and the actress essentially retiring.

As far as I can tell they made no cuts to the Jennifer role in BTTF2 or 3 after recasting Shue its simply just the direction they went.

The loss of Claudia altered the original story plans in pre-production, not during.

I always thought the easiest solution to their problems in Part III would be to add to the bottom of Doc's Western Union note for Marty: 'P.S. --Bring an extra can of gas'

No, I wish they'd release just the first one on 4k for those who only want the first one. Then release the second and third individually as well for the same reason. Then they could do a special boxset for all three. Or do like Scream and Arrow do and release them in a box set but with individual cases; that way the others could be sold or traded off. That makes sense to me.

Doc didnt write bring extra gas, because the doc in 1885 didnt even want Marty to go back and get him. It was only then finding out that Doc gets shot & killed that made Marty go back.

Understood-- what I'm saying is AFTER Marty goes back and informs Doc about damaged gas tank they could have walked over to Western Union and amended the letter to include: "P.S.-- bring extra gas can". Similar to Marty's note about warning Doc to prepare himself with the bullet-proof vest.

Then a gas can would 'magically' appear in the Delorean.

But like the other poster said, then there's no movie

Correct, but I guess they weren't thinking 4th dimensionally there.

Also, yes, no movie then.

Yeah thanks I saw all the stuff about 1967 and everything they planned to have Jennifer do in 2015 rather then just being knocked out. To me it just seems like normal script revisions not cutting a part for loss of actor or actress, minus of course Crispan Glover for obvious reasons.
