Maybe I'm confused to what a sleeve is, but this looks like to have a plastic interior where you can click in the disc, just like an amaray

I ordered the steelbook, but that's only because that was the only one I could order last week. The price was 61+ euros
This box however takes less space on the shelves and is slightly cheaper (55+ euros).

Yeah, Back to the Future is the type of movie people watch over and over and over. SUPER DUMB to put it in a sleeve, to have the owner slide the sensitive disc face across cardboard forty times (twenty views).

Watch the Indiana Jones 4K masters do the same thing.

That’s the Italian release the USA release is card board sleeves. I’m not ordering anything from over seas cause the world is on lock down and there’s no telling when it would come in.

I'm starting to lean towards just getting the regular 4K set for the price difference, unless there's a better deal to be had somewhere.

Good god this is a hard decision to get the pos sleeves at $42.99 or the premium best buy steel books at $30 more. I have rounded protective cd sleeves to use for them plus I have Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park 4K, Star Wars, and The Mummy 4K (being the worst) sets that use the same sleeves so I might as well get the standard. Universal sucks with set packaging.

Pre-ordered. I'm pulling exactly ONE disc out of these sleeves when I get this set -- the original 1985 movie -- and placing the rest away in storage, alongside the 4K discs of JURASSIC PARK 3 and 4, the Blu-rays of ALIEN 3 and 4, the Blu-rays of GALACTICA 1980, etc... all the stuff I'm forced to buy but don't want in my collection. So if I can just get that ONE disc out without scratching, it'll go into a nice new black case with the old DVD Struzan artwork cropped to fit. Steep price for one disc, but that original flick's one of my favorites of all time, easy. A perfect movie. I gots to have it.

I don't know why people freak out about the sleeve packaging. They won't be damaged unless they came that way from the factory which I don't assume is a common occurrence. Just be careful taking them in and out, or buy separate cases.

I agree, I've never had scratched discs from packaging like that unless it came scratched out of the box.

Usually most of the hate I've seen is towards II. In my circles III is extremely popular. Personally I love all three, with the first being first of course.

I guess I'm just old enough to have ridden out that wave of "Part III sucks!" and now we're getting more pushback towards II, it's certainly been interesting to see that shift.

Part 3 i always found to be FUN. That old west setting was perfect for the movie's final part of the series. That scene where doc has that drink and konks out. Then the bar tender gives him wake up juice. He barrels out the room screaming. Priceless humor by Christopher Lloyd.

Doesn’t matter how careful you take them out they can still get scratched.

When I was a kid, Back to the Future had three stars in the tv guide. II had 2 1/2 and III had 3.

Now, Part II is held in higher regard and III is considered the lesser. My uncle still has not seen III. I've always loved II, sometimes more than the original.

What's wrong with 2 and 3? I get it they're not the original so they can't be as unique but I never found anything wrong with them.

Not sure the fake hoverboard is worth $27. I think I will just get the standard issue instead

I remember seeing Part II and Part III on release.

I was disappointed with the second, as it seemed to be something contrived to address the ending of the first film before then largely retreading that movie. It felt like a bridging movie that wasn't a film in its own right.

In comparison, Part III was much more like the first in terms of experience as it felt much more like its own thing - a film that works on its own, taking the plot and characters in a whole new self-contained direction.

That view still stands.

Yeah I agree. The standard release saw a nice little price drop today! I'm waiting for Best Buy to pm.
