Also kind of bugs me that the "to be concluded" is referencing the "to be continued" from the VHS and TV version of movie 1, no longer included in any version now.

It feels like it's missing, but I know it wasn't present in the original theatrical version, so I guess it's the way we want it.
Just feels inconsistent with the other two movies without it.

It's hard to ague against getting the original theatrical version, but yeah, I'd prefer it was there too.

Well I haven't seen it used in years and wasn't looking too hard.
Sure, seemless branching, but would be an odd option on disc.
"Watch with original home video "to be continued..." ending.

Would be a pretty simple seamless branching choice for those who remember the VHS days fondly. Which I do. And wish that one bit was restored as optional.

It won't happen but I echo the sentiment it's really one of the rare examples of slight deviation from Theatrical cuts purism making a FAR better feeling/experience for its inclusion.

Agree on both. It won't happen.

But yes, and makes "To Be Concluded..." for part II and then "The End" for part III feel more full circle. "Concluded" seems odd without having seen it on movie 1.

Also, some people only experienced the movie on VHS or TV first, so it was part of the experience from the very beginning for them. And as a part of the trilogy, the movie does work better with this card.

I'm sure the alternate view is the first film wasn't made with sequels intended, so adding it isn't the original movie that was made.
And I agree with that, but still prefer it being there.

That might just be a temp pic but it is confirmed other countries will receive different packaging as Italy (and most likely the rest of Europe) is getting a digipack.

Oh, man. So it does matter where you buy it from.

Probably not popular, but I like the US book version, as it seems to list the disc contents, and nice pictures (as long as the discs are safe).

I've never had discs scratched from those book-types, but I have had them get glue from the book pages coming apart sticking to discs. Not cool.

Best Buy will refund the difference between their exclusive steelbook and Amazon's/Target's standard packaging release? How does that work? Usually the item has to be identical to get a price match, and since the steelbook is exclusive, they won't match it. You might get a random employee who doesn't know the policies and might do it for you, but I wouldn't count on it.

I am one of those people and indeed, "To be continued..." and "To be concluded..." worked great and have always been part of the trilogy for me.

He meant "if" the steelbooks go down in price on or shortly after release day which happens a lot.

Best Buy would refund the price difference for "their own release" in this case.
