Sometimes I cant understand these studios.I bet they lost quite a number of sales for the 90 lb version from people like me. I had around an hour before it went out of stock, but decided and ordered the 50 lb standard, only because the standard releases in October. Seriously, why couldn't they release them at the same time?

Would imagine current world circumstances is the cause for the delay.

Is Best Buy still going to charge around $60 for the standard 4K disc release when places like Amazon are lowering their prices?

No hoverboard edition at Best Buy. Their standard release is $54.99 and steelbook edition is $69.99.

The bonus disc is standard Blu-ray and included with all releases.

So frustrating. I HATE the sleeve packaging...guaranteed disc scratches. I don't want to pay $70 for the Steelbooks, either.

Why can't manufacturers just use NORMAL packaging? Maximum density case with hub for every disc + slipbox or slipcover = Perfection.

I'm not crazy about the packaging either but it is what it is. It's out of our control and nothing we can do about it.

I went with the Best Buy steelbooks and i look at it this way, each film averages out to be $23.33 and they are in their own case. If these were released individually on 4K, they would most likely be somewhere around $20-$25 a piece, so my opinion, the steelbook edition is a good deal if it's important for you to have each film in it's own case.

Guaranteed? I've never had a scratched disc from one.

I have a lot of different film studio Blu-ray releases that use sleeve packaging style and not had any instances yet where discs playback was affected

I even have DVD releases from years ago that used sleeve packaging and those DVD's still play

It's just frustrating. I paid $33 for the regular version before I knew it was sleeves and the Steelbook version is more than double the price. I don't need separate packaging, just disc hubs for every disc.

You have, you just haven't noticed. You could argue if you haven't noticed who cares, but that is not my point. My point is that I do not want disc scratches and sleeve packages cause scratches.

I never put discs back into sleeve packaging and sometimes it takes multiple exchanges with disc mix & matching between the sets to get one complete scratch free set.

I would bet serious money with anyone actually willing that any of these sleeve packs will have at least one scratched disc...which could have been avoided with regular packaging. Nobody has ever taken me up on this but I am dead serious (one scratch in 7 discs...I can't lose). If you have at least 10 sleeved discs, I'd bet I could find a scratch in your collection right now. Have a lamp and about 10 minutes?

Me neither. I’ve owned thousands of DVDs/blu-rays/4Ks in total, and probably quite a few of them have come in card sleeve packaging, but none have ever been scratched because of it.

Never had a scratch either, and I’m not trying to be super careful with them either. But I’ll always check my discs to make sure they’re clean before putting them in the player and no scratches. I don’t know what y’all are doing to them.

All these people claiming to never have scratches from sleeve packaging yet nobody willing to take my bet...hmm.

Almost like people are afraid to bet against sliding smooth shiny plastic on a surface causing damage.

Hoverboard edition = steelbook edition + a very expensive little thing. It's too overpriced in my opinion.

You're probably right but that's not to say disks that have hubs don't pop off the hub and roll around in the case by the time it gets to you. So it's equally as possible
