It truly astounds me that people still look at YouTube clips to assess quality.

If the bit rates are healthy then its a fair indication of how the disc will look like.

I've literally never seen a single YT clip that resolves grain anywhere even close to the way a disc does. Without that minute level of detail, there's little to no use in a YT clip (at least to me, and at least for a UHD).

Of course it won't but just use that clip as a guidance.

Part 3 has now been upgraded to 4K Dolby Vision on iTunes. For the moment it's only accessible via the iTunes Movies app on Apple TV - the TV app Library section still has the old HD version. Good for A-B comparisons

YouTube still uses very poor compression to boot.

No it isn't.

Digital is worthless and only physical releases take precedent. It's why I sell all digital codes, not on here, to recoup the funds. Rather compare this upcoming physical 4K UHD to the prior Blu-ray disc release instead of some digital malarkey.

I was looking at the Amazon 4K gift set with the hoverboard... so, does thing actually float (magnets?) or is it just glued to those plastic pieces on the side to make it suspend. Because if it's the later... that's kinda BS and I'll gladly pass.

Yes. Plus my iTunes copies have upgraded to 4K and they have me very excited for my discs to arrive. Now that I have seen what they've done with the transfers, I can't wait to see them with the improved compression that disc can offer.

I just cancelled my hoverboard edition. I got two of the 9.99 sets and hoping to still be able to get a time circuit set. And I'll live with the 9.99 set till then
