If I ever buy from Gruv again they get a retro negative.

Those covers are so awesome. There are no posters in the history of cinema that come close to how much they mean to me. I managed to get a signed Drew Struzan one-sheet of the original one a couple of years back, which is one of my more treasured items.

I actually think that original one-sheet was as important to the success of the first movie as the film itself. Lightning in a bottle.

Only one small quibble with those - the E in Future should be different for the sequels than for the first film. They've messed that up on the artwork for years, but it's plain as day on the original posters.

I got my set middle of last week and while i wasn't thrilled with the cardboard book i will pick up those inserts i saw on here a few pages back so that should help to fix the problem. On Friday night i had planned to watch 1 and part of 2 but was so impressed with the picture and sound that i ended up finishing them both. Definitely worth the upgrade and looking forward to completing the trilogy this week !

I just printed them at home using glossy brochure paper. I have a pack that I use just for custom covers. It’s the best paper for making them look as close to the retail covers.

There’s more info on printing custom covers here: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...ostcount=24943

Also in that thread you can find a few different 4K covers for BTTF. I used Nissen’s VHS/retro style covers (updated with the the 4k specs of course).

I bought the Ultimate Trilogy box set. I love the quality of the films but I really hate the packaging. I really detest the packaging when the disk is slid into a built in cardboard slip. If dust gets in there, it will scratch the disk. Furthermore, the disks are wedged tightly and making it almost impossible to remove without getting your fingerprints all over the outer edge of the disk!

I love reading these types of things. I enjoy watching movies, but I never appreciated them as much as I have started to in the past 5 years or so. So when I read something like this I gain an even greater understanding when I think back about how posters or movies impacted me. Please keep sharing!

I am very happy I opted for the Scandinavian version. It looks completely like the Scandinavian Hitchcock 4K boxset.

I really want it, but my budget is tight at the moment, and I'm currently saving money for black friday.
I wouldn't wait. The price it is now is worth it for a total of 7 discs. That's a deal that most of these releases don't get to. Even the Mission Impossible 4K box set got down this low. Will it get lower during Black Friday? Maybe, but is it worth the wait? No, not when's it's already a dang fine deal. I've recently had to pay over a $100 (close to $150 actually) for a 10 disc CD/DVD box set. 9 CDs and one DVD!!!! Forty bucks for 7 4k UHD and Blu-ray discs is a fantastic deal comparing.

There isn't one that I'm aware of as mine are all playing fine, so far.

Why? I think it's just some very random issues.

There are no problems with any of the discs so far. At least on my end, anyway. It's not a wide spread issue.

There isn't really pixelated issue. At least I didn't have one. And I'm starting to wonder if I ended up getting a rare working set.

Yep. Same here.

First film is a masterpiece.

Like I said Black Friday at $24.99 will be fine for me.
Or until Universal comes to their senses and offers the option to buy individual movies on disc, not forced bundles that many of us do not want!
it is currently under $40. At that price, you are paying $13.17 apiece for a 4k UHD and a Blu-ray. Along with a bonus disc. I'd say that's a pretty good deal for a brand new release. Whether you like the other movies or not. Try paying close to $150 on a 9 CD/DVD box set. And I can tell you that won't go down in price. Even for Black Friday. However, If you want, buy the stealbooks, and sell off the other two 2 movies. If one is going to be so picky.

People seem to forget that not just the US, but the world is still in lock down mode!
THANK YOU!!!! I don't understand how some can get upset over not getting their movies on time when they paid $10. You get a deal like that, you need to be thankful that you got that deal and quit whining about not receiving day of. Getting a deal like that will come some caveats. If you can't handle that, don't take the deal.

Picked this idea up from someone at another site. IF you don't mind cutting into the packaging with scissors, snipping the cardboard in just past the centre of where the disc is allows you to open the 'flaps' slightly and get a finger on the centre of the disc, making removal a little easier.

Ughhh! Why would you ruin good packaging like that? That just makes my innards turn.

I've been patiently waiting a decade for a stand-alone release to no avail. However, I am seriously contemplating purchasing the Best Buy steelbooks just for one movie so it will have it's own case. Though I find it hard to justify spending $70 for one movie.

My fear is that we'll never see stand-alone releases of these films again.
There won't be. Not in the U.S. anyway. You got a better chance of getting Abraham Lincoln reelected president.

I've been dealing with this packaging for years in the music world since they started adopting digipaks widespread. And I have yet to have an issue with scratched discs or anything else. The packaging is fine. It may not be perfect or one's ideal, but it is what it is. Either adapt or die. I've had to.

They might be able to ship faster if they didn't have so many emails to read....
For $10 I'll wait patiently.

A website that’s owned by Universal should have no problem having enough employees who are responding to emails and others fulfilling orders.
