If you zoom in on the word "Future", you can see his leg behind it.

So many examples of this issue.
So strong? The second film is a jumbled mess and serves as nothing more than a huge plot contrivance to get from Point A (the ending of the first film) to Point B (the Old West setting of the true intended sequel).

It also suffers the same problem that any movie set in the future does: it looks laughably dated once their vision of the future ends up not looking anything like the actual time period in which it was set. It's even more egregious here because so much care was taken to make the period scenes look and feel as authentic as possible in the original film.

I feel disappointed that Back to the Future Part II inspired Universal to choose October 21 as Back to the Future Day; I would've chosen either October 26 (when Doc unveiled the DeLorean), November 5 (when Doc first designed the Flux Capacitor), or November 12 (when lightning stuck the clock tower after the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance).

Not the biggest fan of the first half of Back to the Future 2 with its nonsensical plot and overly campy vibe. Luckily it picks up in the second half

I definitely prefer the 2nd half of BTTFII, they did a good job of integrating the new material with the scenes from the original.

I actually did this on photoshop when the 4k came out. Have seen my covers on sites that require consitant posting to retain memebership so I know how much it sucks when people steal covers but I can assure this was a pain to make lol

After my vent about BTTF Day, I began wondering if this scene from Part II would sound like arguing in favor of moving it to November 12:

Unbelievable that old Biff could've chosen that particular date. It could mean that that point in time contains some cosmic significance... as if it were the temporal junction point of the entire space-time continuum... or it could just be an amazing coincidence.

The smart thing to do would have been to set part 2 in the year 2080 or later. Some kind of time point when anyone who was alive for the original releases would be dead. LOL!

I thought Scream 3 was ok. But, I'd 100% agree on Back to the Future III. Highly underrated and a terrific way to wrap up the series.

Well, they can always right is off as the future being changed from Marty's actions (like the car accident) or something.

That and BTTF was never really meant to be a big serious series anyway.

The future scenes in BttF II look like the 90s to me now, especially the product placement, but I did like how they didn't try and go Blade Runner when things really haven't changed that much considering, still no flying cars for example but 3D movies is still a thing, though Cubs still suck

Yeah but that started on October 21, 2015, so at the time it was the most significant and got attention for obvious reasons. And it just stuck after that. If they were choosing a day now, yes November 5 or November 12 would be the most appropriate.

Yep I remember that, I wanted the Indians to win

I wonder how many people put money on the Cubbies.

Part 2 did the world a service by correctly predicting that the Cubs would win the World Series. Also that LaserDiscs would fall out of favor.

Love them all, my ranking is:

Back to the Future - 10/10
Back to the Future Part II - 8/10
Back to the Future Part III - 9/10

In my opinion best trilogy of all time is The Dark Knight.

The opening of II is pretty corny but I love it. In retrospect I’m actually surprised the whole movie wasn’t just Marty in the future teaching his son to stand up to Griff— that would’ve been the classic unimaginative retread sequel I would have expected in those days. Instead it’s a fun opener that leads into a really imaginative plot about time travel shenanigans and then literally redoing the first movie. I honestly love every minute of it.

III is fun. It’s definitely my least favorite but it’s still a good movie with a lot of heart and does a great job closing the story. I’ve always wondered what a part IV could be but it’s probably better they left it alone (technically there was the Universal ride, the cartoon, and more recently the Telltales game, but that’s all canon-iffy spin-off stuff).

Star Wars is the answer so obvious that I suppose it is almost doesn't count so all talk is, by auto-assumed default, always of second place.
