Just a bunch of new extra features and no Eric Stoltz footage, again
DD 2.0 is either the commentary or English Audio Description track.

There are two audio commentaries for the 1st film. And they are both DD 2.0.

There is no Descriptive audio for any of the films, it would be a new track if available, now.

I think you are right, provided they are using the same discs for the movies as the previous sets.

At first, I was really excited to see these new releases. But after reading through the disc contents, it's the same 4k transfers and bonus features as before, just with a handful of new featurettes that will undoubtedly rehash the same stories we've all heard ad nauseam. I'm not really seeing the appeal, unless you don't have the previous releases or are a hardcore collector who just has to have all things BTTF.

I just noticed, the standard edition of the new 2025 set uses the original keyart of the characters, but photoshops the Hill Valley Courthouse in behind the characters on each one, as well as adding lightning in the sky by the title on each.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before.

The 2024 set has the unaltered original keyart for each film.

And some lightning. Nothing says BTTF like a bolt of lightning.

Yep, since these are the same old discs, I doubt we'll ever get new ones now. I don't need the new featurettes. The 2024 set looks gorgeous with the original, unmolested keyart. I'll bet it'll go on sale soon, trying to clear stock, and I'll pick it up to replace my hideous 2020 cardboard edition.

Yep, and they altered the flaming tire tracks completely on Part 1 as well.

Not a fan of all the changes, and glad I noticed them.

With regards to the lightning, the original Struzan painting actually had lightning for Part II, so this new cover is actually a little closer to his work in that regard, but still obviously changed. I'm not sure why they couldn't just reproduce all three exactly how they were first made though.

The 2024 cover for Part II retained Struzan's lightning.

Thanks but no thanks. I’m good with my individual classic poster art 4Ks.

The fact that they don't put HDR/DV (at least!) on these with a new scan is a travesty.

Wishful thinking probably, but I wonder if there's any chance Uni has done a stealth re-encode of the first movie with at least the chroma issue fixed? T'would be nice.

Looks like the same UHD and BD discs as before, with a new extra BD with a few new featurettes, and new (inferior) packaging.

I think the 2024 Part II cover reproduces the poster almost exactly, with all the original lightning, except the title is positioned over a small portion of the lightning. The 2024 cover shows more of the painting on the sides than the US poster showed though:

The UK quad showed more of the painting on the right side back in the day, which is visible on the 2024 cover:
