I noticed some hate for part 2, but I thought the fans liked part 3 more. When I saw parts 2 and 3 at the cinema I think part 2 was my favourite, but I am not sure now.

The problem for me and most of my friends is that by the time Part 2 came out I didn't really care enough to want to see it.

For Part 1 I remember standing in a line around the theater with my dad and two sisters waiting to see the film. My parents had been divorced for two years and I was in California for the summer visiting my dad. For Part 2 and 3, I couldn't even tell you what part of the year they came out without looking it up.

I saw all the other 9 top 10 films of 1989 upon release (either by foreign or domestic gross) except BTTF 2.

Looking at the grosses, Part 2 earned far more overseas than domestically (over 2/3), which was a rarity for a film in 1989. Maybe many Americans were like me as its domestic gross was around half of Part 1.

Yes, and it went up $10. I pre-ordered mine Monday at $69. Maybe the high demand caused them to raise the price by $10.

Seems like the UK edition could be the winner though!

If I would have liked the steelbook cover, I might have gone with it (as I did with Jaws). So I just went with the regular as the sleeve design doesn't bother me and less money.

I've just watched the new master at the cinema .. The image was markedly improved to the Blu ray and the colour palate a lot more natural and less bright and colourful.. the sound has been cleaned up.. I'm sure its look a lot better on the tv with HDR and with Dolby Vision , I don't think the cinema did the image total justice..

What i would be interested to see in the UHD release is the footage from when Eric Stolz played Marty if there's any hanging about
