Yep. I imported BttF from the UK several years back.

Yeah, that set is awesome. Sadly it's way too expensive to import for me, plus I wonder if they even ship this to the US? Other international Amazons like .it aren't shipping BTTF to the US for some reason.

I understand people's take on this, and why they don't want the sequels. I won't argue against it - I had for years but it's obvious there is an audience that only wants the first film.

I personally think Universal would make more money selling them individually, given that the majority of people want the entire trilogy and wouldn't buy just one. I also prefer individual packaging and hate the crap they've used over the years, so I guess I don't understand it either. They did eventually release the first film individually in the UK, but that never made it's way overseas.

It's just crazy to think this is how far we've come in terms of home video. I still remember getting a copy of the first film for $4.99 on VHS at McDonald's in 1994 and being totally enamored. That was my first real introduction to the series. I had a poster Toys "R" Us gave away when BTTF3 first came out in 1990 hanging in my bedroom for years, but I never saw the movie.

In the 90s, TBS had cable rights to the first film and USA had Parts II & III. I recorded the latter on one tape and pretty much wore it out until I found Part II at a flea market in 1998. I got Part III for my birthday that year, and watched them endlessly.

All of that seems likes yesterday. God I'm old.

So what set is everyone going for? I am contemplating which pre-order to cancel as I have the one with the hoverboard and also the regular edition. Is that little hoverboard really worth nearly $30 though?

How many people are going for the BBY steelbook set?

I will buy whatever cheapest version I can get my hands on on day one. I already buy too many physical media so I need to save as much money as I can to buy yet another movie instead of paying for the hoverboard.

Hopefully we’ll get this in the U.K.

I don't understand why people want to spend more than 55€ just for the little hoverboard.
(In France the steelbook set is 75€ and the hoverboard is 130€)

And I thought the SteelBook set was limited... Looking at Amazon.fr, BTTF 4K is ONLY available in SteelBooks! Even the Hoverboard edition (though much pricier than this awesome big box set).

Because the hoverboard goes for $30 separately. This just bundles it up with the discs as a gift set.

The French set does not ship to the US:

"Cet article ne peut pas être livré à l’adresse sélectionnée. Veuillez choisir une adresse différente."

"This item cannot be delivered to the selected address. Please choose a different address."

Same with the Italian set from Amazon. Really frustrating. If only the UK would get the same set as France, but that's unlikely I guess.

The French set definitely looks the nicest of all the variants. I don't really need the added tat, though, so I've still got the 2010 tin.

in canada anything that doesnt have any french text (ie jaws) on the cover...currently the hover board and steelbook aren’t displaying that...but the regular disc version still isnt up for preorder yet which will probably have it

The French version has most of the Tin, but it also has the lenticular gravestone which the Tin didn't have.
