That's an auto-message, nothing at all to do with the actual delivery date. You should also have gotten an auto-message stating that as a preorder, delivery notice/information would be updated to reflect release day:

Thank you for very much your pre-order. Please note that your new release(s) will be held in our system and will be dispatched to you in time to arrive on the release date. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Oh, I know. I'm not insinuating that my order was confirmed to be delivered on that date. I just thought it was funny. Delivery two weeks ahead of release date.

Though yeah, if by some miracle they don't cancel, we might hope to receive the order at least a few days early.

That would be a Friday, so if that's true, Monday if you're really close to the warehouse.

Release day is 20th of October, not next week. I've posted a couple times with details, but there is a mechanism in place for cancellation, and 3 weeks is plenty of time to orchestrate cancellations.

Youtube's video compression is awful, we all know that. From the looks of it though, it doesn't seem like edge enhancement was applied like the original blu ray release.

All I want for this release is no edge enhancement and no DNR preserving the film grain.

I want Jaws 4K level treatment. The holy trilogy deserves it.

But seriously, it looks pretty terrific. The old HD transfer was much brighter and it now shows that Zemeckis and Cundey really did try to give it a "vintage" look. Plus the detail in the outdoor landscape shots is razor sharp. It doesn't look like any edge enhancement or noise reduction has been applied, but I'll reserve final judgement on that once I've seen the disc. All in all, I think it looks great.

The original version of the film did not include "to be continued" though.
Removing it restored the movie to the original theatrical version.
