Just received an e-mail from Amazon saying that they're cancelling my order of the limited edition set that's coming out in December. I was probably gonna cancel it anyway, but at least now I've got a £5 virtual gift card out of it.

Yes, I've just received the same e-mail (and similarly a £5 voucher).

Seems odd that they would cancel orders so far ahead of release, if it is simply a case of the item being oversubscribed (because some people invariably cancel their orders ahead of the release date).

Does this mean the limited edition has been completely pulled?

The art on almost all of the BTTF releases, for the most part, is hideous.

Canceled the LE one. Didn't think it was worth $75. Plus I had a $5 reward and 10% b-day coupon from BB. Granted their price on the normal is $10 mode right now, but I figure it will drop by release and I can always do price adjustment later if need be

It's still there saying it will arrive in the last week of October.

My pre-order from August 28th is still active, can only assume the print run will be less than they originally expected so are working backwards through the orders and cancelling where needed.
