Based on my iTunes viewing, I would say parts 2 and 3 have some mild DNR but someone said these were shot on a different camera / film stock which has super thin grain. I didn't notice any waxiness but I have said earlier it can tend to look like Goonies w.r to close ups and texture.
The colour grading looks different to the previous release and part 3 has that slight golden yellow jaundice look pretty much throughout. I can bet the discs are going to look pretty much the same. |

In other words, why cancel an order now if there is a chance a copy will become available before release? Cancelling ahead of time like this would suggest the release has been canned - but that contradicts what has been talked about on this forum. NOT happy. |

example serve 500 units. They are only going to sell those 500, Amazon does not sell but those that serve them universal. At first, Amazon sold some units that did not correspond to those that truly universal would supply them, or even universal it is possible to communicate to Amazon that only a lower number could serve, hence the cancellations |

So now we measure a discs presentation off iTunes streaming lol.
Makes sense. |

See, many have watched this on iTunes. The disc will be superior, no one is going argue on that. However, don't think as if the disc is going look radically different. The iTunes stream is not an old shoddy divx rip.
I have said numerous times. Part 1 has grain. To me it looks the best of the bunch because Part 2 and Part 3 have less of it like Goonies. My concern was Part 3 which has this mild golden yellow tint. I have no idea if its meant to look like that. I will double check again tonight. Sold my BD trilogy already, so I can only compare against Amazon or Netflix HD streams. I might buy the disc when the price drops to under a tenner each and if the discs are way superior which I doubt will be. |

Streaming iTunes 4K HDR/DV (EMPHASIS ON ITUNES--Not Vudu, Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, etc..)-- I would say there is 99% parity to most eyes. You'd have to literally have them side by side and squint to even get a "....maybe this one is slightly better" judgement. It's a pretty solid indicator of what to expect. |

On the audio front its a no contest but on the video side of things, they are close unless its projected. I have made such crass prejudiced comments about streaming until a few months ago and it was surprising to see how much the gap has been closed. Back to the topic, I will check part 3 again for that mild yellow tint but all I am saying is the discs are NOT going to LOOK radically different. |

I believe you also get 4K playback depending on the type of iPhone you have. Playback on iTunes via Windows or MacOS is HD only, however, |

Another member said Hocus Pocus 4K DV DA on D+ on ATV was streaming between 30-40 Mbps as per the numbers reported on his enterprise grade router. As usual take these with a pinch of salt. |

![]() I doubt you'll get the same bitrates via the app on the TCL Roku for example. |
