What's with the strange colour blemishes all over the picture in certain shots like this one on the 4K?

https://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?a=1&x...&l=0&i=10&go=1

You'll have to excuse me for my red colour blindness, but it looks like lots of little pink/purple/blue flecks. Is this a result of the film stock they shot this on?

Makes me wonder if that's why the old BDs are so scrubbed and desaturated, to rid the picture of those problems (albeit introducing a ton more issues).

That uptick in detail on Marty's shirt though! Didn't realise it even had such a fine pattern before.

Those are little blobs of dye in the film grain, yes. 100% supposed to be there and not a "problem" as such.

Thanks. I figured as much, but wasn't sure. Seems like another good sign that they've been a lot more faithful to the source material this time round.

Decided to skip it after all. $40 is a lot for one movie. Don't want the sequels.

Hopefully I can get it for half the price in a Black Friday sale.

Universal has to F&^$*&G stop it with these all or nothing BS sets.
At least give consumers to buy only the films they want!

How are people able to decently convert the HDR screenshots to SDR? I've not found way to do it myself.

The 4K transfer looks really nice, now on the old transfer I can see a ton of edge halos and a strange bumpy look on a lot of bright edges from the noise reduction used, it's all totally gone now.

Does anyone know if the Atmos track is transferred from the new restoration? Because the 5.1 in previously releases has new foley effects.
So the advert was bullshit? There's no 2.0 stereo tracks? Dammmmn! That's very disappointing.

Any chance the Americans here can badger Universal for Psycho-style replacement discs...

I'd forgotten how much I dislike this forum in the lead-up to big back catalog releases. So many uninformed opinions.

The only thing that saves it is the thoughtful, measured and informed opinions after release.

I don't think it's possible 100% which is a shame cause a lot of people make the decision not to buy because of crappy screenshots which don't represent the true film with HDR.

It should be the Blu-ray. If you right click the (bottom) 4K images (after clicking them to open the image site), they'll be in 4K. The BD ones are just 1920 x 1080.
