We want to know from someone who has the UK 4K UHD Boxset what video codec is the Blu-ray discs using in that 4K boxset

We not not asking about any of the USA releases

I know the UK box set is the old discs.
I believe that the US UHD set has the remastered discs.
However, the US blu only box set has yet to be confirmed as remastered. Those who want standard blus remastered can go for the US set if they are indeed remastered.

Reason me and others are asking is because the Blu-ray discs included in the 35th Anniversary UK Blu-ray only box set have the old 2010 transfer codec VC-1

What codec is the UK Blu-ray discs showing as when played in a Blu-ray player from the UK 4K UHD Boxset that also includes Blu-ray Discs
We not asking about the 4K UHD discs

Don't go by the discs having 2020 printed on the discs

I just received my set so checking the discs now but someone that received the set yesterday said that it includes remastered discs due to the larger file size of the main feature.

MPEG-4 AVC on the new Blu-ray Discs in the 4K set.

The bit rate is way higher on the old disc mind.

Another easy tell that these are not the old 2010 discs is the new Universal intro when you first put the disc in and menus so given the fact these remastered discs exist god knows how they screwed up the ‘Remastered’ Blu-Ray set.

Tell me about it. Im from the uk and I wanted the batman remastered blu rays but didnt want to folk out £60 for the uhd set. Lucky i came across the german blu ray only box set which contained the remastered blu rays. The box art also said remastered. Dont understand why this was only released in germany and not uk

Yeah the whole thing doesn’t make any sense, it’s like that for all of the films.

Yep. Got it from amazon.germany. Just came across it by chance. I get a few blu's from germany because you can get some decent sets at a good price. The batman set cost me. £17.99.
Im even considering getting the german back to the future blu ray box set. Its listed on amazon as remastered. German universal pics website have it listed as remastered. The uk set was never listed as remastered on both sites. It was only the box art which said it was remastered. Plus they couldnt of messed it up in both the uk or germany. Could they?!!!! 🙄

Just quickly watched the clock tower sequence and

The HDR really adds another level to the lightning flashes and the current going down the cable and across the lamp posts.

Oh and I checked and the place/time captions are not player generated as some feared they might be.

As did mine. Good old Zoom, that’s why I tend to use them for lots of preorders nowadays, as they do often get stuff to you a little early (with a little help from Royal Mail of course).
