Does anyone know if Target or Best Buy will be selling the standard 4K boxset in-stores on Tuesday? I waited too long to preorder, and now it is too late. How do I check to see if these stores will carry this release on Day 1?

So I watched the first 2 BTTF for now and here are my impressions

- BTTF 1:
Amazing, I really enjoyed watching it remastered in 4k. The grain is natural, considering the age of the movie I consider the image was clean.
However it's worth noting that I haven't been as impressed by the 4k Blu Ray as I was 10 years ago when I watched the 1080p remaster. I feel like the jump betweem dvd to BR was way more significant in terms of quality image than the jump betweem BR to UHD BR.
While 10 years ago the image amazed me on the BR, on the UHD BR what amazed me was the new ATMOS soundtrack which was clearly upgrade from the DTS HD master track on the BR (I think it was a DTS HD master right?)
The new Atmos soundtrack use a lot more the surrounds than the BR version. The first seconds are a prime example with all the clocks clocking using every single channel around us. Really impressed by the Atmos track which I believe was main attraction of the UHD BR. Don't get me wrong the image was still a delight to rediscover (thought the image wasn't consistent throughout the movie, some scenes you could tell that the actors' faces were digitally smoothed out) in 4k but like I said above the upgrade is only subtle at best compared to the BR. But that combined with the awesome Atmos track is a big win for me. I had a GREAT time rediscovering one of my favorite movie.

- BTTF II
Here, in terms of the image pretty much same comments as above.
However, the ATMOS soundtrack on this movie is a big disappointment! Right off the bat you can tell that something is off, especially when you watch BTTF II right after the first. The voices are not as clear as in the first movie for some reasons? I don't understand how can they mess that up? The voices are muffled as if they were speaking with a mask over their mouth ( I exxagerate but coming from the first movie it sounds like that). Really odd, even my GF whose not at all into analysing image quality and sound noticed it straight up and told me is there something wrong with the speakers?
Eventually, you get used to it as the movie goes on but that's not all. As I as saying above for BTTF1 I was gladly surprised by how they added more surround sound details to the track but in BTTF2 it wasn't as impressive. The surround channels are used but not as cleverly as in BTTF1. In the first episode you could tell that sound engineers sat down and actually tried to create a new soudtrack from scratch by today's standards and it works. I don't think they hage done that for BTTF 2.
So yeah, enjoyed watching BTTF 2 because it's my favorite BTTF but technically I'd say it was a disapointment.

I'm watching BTTF 3 tonight.

Do NOT redeem the code for this new set in Vudu. The bundle in Vudu is HD, and the code will redeem HD. Use MA to redeem for UHD (ports the individual movies as UHD to the various services). Or wait until Vudu fixes it (possibly during release week, possibly later or much later).
Will be sure to include that for when I sell it on the site I sell codes at.

Best Buy will likely have it. Target is terrible with catalog titles or putting things out other than new releases on day 1. Both of their websites have fairly accurate stock listings though. Just check on Tuesday and it should tell you if it's in stock. On the slim chance Target has it, you'll probably need them to get it from the back.

I prefer them over a digibook but they aren't much better. Why does every release after the VHS have the worst art work possible?
I wish there were custom covers that looked like the VHS releases...

Part III would seem to look the best and part II the worst. Its a shame about part II but overall its worth a purchase.

Obviously we all have different experiences and some here are more happy with the way part 1 looks. I should emphasise how much better it is than the blu-ray. I wish it was perfect, who doesn't. Some seem to think it's pretty close - and you might too. so i'd take my opinion with a grain of salt as it might not reflect your experience.

I ordered when they had it up for 9.99 from their official store and from their ebay store. The ebay one got cancelled and refunded but the other one is in limbo.
My gruv order hasn't moved and no message either.

Watched the first film now in Dolby Vision & Dolby Atmos, quite enjoyed it, the WCG of HDR looks great. Would love to hear what others thought of the Atmos track. Personally I thought it was nice and clear but I did think it could of done with a bit more warmth as I thought the treble was more emphasized.

Don't know if it has already been posted but a clip for part 3 was uploaded yesterday.

Even from the compressed YouTube vid, I can tell that it knocks the 2010 blu out of the park. From blu to blu, all 3 movies are going to be a great upgrade. For me at least. I popped the first movie in (2010 blu) and it looks pretty rough. Lots of DNR, EE, soupy grain...was never particularly thrilled.
