Why would they remove this? If this were ever to have even been considered it would have been done decades ago. I get that it's redundant but this was how it was presented in it's original release and is considered an actual part of the film for better or for worse. In fact, with each release since DVD they keep restoring things from the theatrical release that were changed in subsequent VHS and laserdisc releases in order to bring the films as close to their theatrical presentation as possible. This is why the "To Be Continued" title card is missing from the end of the first film as it was not part of the original release but was added later for the initial home video release.

Also, They even restored the byline "Coming Summer 1990" to the end of the Part III teaser at the end of Part II when it was missing in previous releases just to be as theatrically accurate as possible. Zemeckis and Gale are the polar opposite of George Lucas when it comes to this type of stuff. To remove the teaser would be considered revisionism to them.

Not quite.

I believe the temporary pricing errors on the GRUV website made Universal Classic Monsters: Complete 30-Film Collection a better deal. I forget the price -- it may have been about $10 as well. Lots of stuff was mis-priced spectacularly. I'm just bummed I only knew about the BttF deal at the time.

But even better, shortly after those temporary pricing errors on GRUV.com and eBay, hundreds of Universal and 4K UHD titles and sets were priced at $1 on Amazon.com. Apparently this only lasted for a few minutes before it was corrected. I only knew about it because a Facebook friend posted about it, but I was too slow. My friend grabbed a dozen or so titles -- I'm not sure if they were canceled or not, but if they were fulfilled, that's probably the deal of the year.

I can't imagine what's going on at Universal/GRUV for all those massive pricing errors (across GRUV.com, eBay, and Amazon) to happen in such a short span of time. Hope some poor intern didn't get fired for that -- give 'em a promotion and a raise!

Also, my BttF 4K UHD trilogy just shipped!

I got a shipping notification from the GRUV site like an hour ago for that particular order. It was the FF, Mummy, and Cornetto trilogies.

And my $65 order didn’t ship because I was willing to wait a few days and am $55 richer for my trouble. That’s more than worth some of us being a tad excited over - especially considering that none of us had any clue until now, a day after street date, if the orders would even be honored.
