Exactly!! At the end of the day, it's all about what we think (the viewer) is best. Just like you, 10 is what I believe is the best setting for sharpness. Others may say different, but I'm pretty satisfied with 10.

I apologize sincerely if I derailed the thread a little bit! This is a Back to the Future Thread after all and the topic should be on that. I've been on blu-ray.com long enough to know that and I am very sorry.

Goddamn them. They said they couldn't do that for me because it would screw up my buy one get half order with Mallrats and I would end being charged full price for it. Gonna try another rep later.

I called Target last night because mine still hadn’t shipped. The rep recommended I cancel and then reorder the set, and I told him I would have already done that myself but I had a B1G1 50% off promo on the order that I didn’t want to lose. The rep simply canceled the old order and re-placed it and manually applied 50% off. So I’m paying $23 in the end for BTTF and I get to pick it up in store today rather than wait for Target’s messed up shipping! They also sent me a $5 gift card for the trouble.

So yeah, if you, like me, have been keeping your preorder in place because you took advantage of the 50% off promo, then I’d just call them again because they can definitely just cancel the existing order and manually apply the discount to the new one.

So what's better to get? The 35th anniversary limited edition or the standard release? Thanks in advance.

I ended up not waiting for the rest of my refund for the second Target gift card after canceling the original Target Exclusive order and I just re-ordered it on Thursday using the first gift card that was refunded(which paid the majority) paying the difference with a credit card.It quickly shipped out and says this morning that it will arrive later today.

Works out nice too since I also got notice that my Best Buy order of Black Lightning Season 3 on blu ray will be arriving today(which is two days early from release) as well(got a shipping notice this morning that it's out for delivery).

I still need to contact Target about the refund to the second giftcard. They said if it wasn't posted after 24 hours to call them back. It's been 48 hours.I was just too tired yesterday after doing all my shoppings and errands to call but will today.

Your disc likely has a pressing defect causing some of the pits to be unreadable. Even if the disc is clean and unscratched, the layers could have been "smushed" together in one area during pressing causing all of the pits in that particular area on at least two different layers to be out of focus and indistinguishable. You will not know that your disc is like this until you run the entire disc through a player or computer drive. If you have a computer drive, you can download a program called Nero DiscSpeed and use the ScanDisc function. To make sure it's your disc, if you have a friend who also has this disc, try playing their copy. If their copy works, go to the store where you bought the disc from and ask for a replacement. If a replacement is not available, request one from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.

If you care about not getting scratched discs, get the BB steel books.

The only extra you get with the LE is the little the hoverboard trinket. The discs are housed in the same packaging as the standard release.

Getting the standard release was a no brainer for me.

Glad I grabbed the DC's cheap first b4 buying this set. BTTF is a great movie but then I was reminded why I never watched part three last night..it was because of how bad part II is. What a really bad movie, and the dialogue sounds like they were making it up as they went along and throwing in a lot of curse words to try keep the audiences attention. Sure it was kool how the combined scenes from one and two together on the screen but for the life of me I cannot figure out why they even made this film. Guess I will finally watch Part III if I can stomach it. The DC's so far look great on my LG Oled 55E8 and my Vava UST projector. Will I buy this set..no...but look forward to an individual sale of the BTTF 4K disc only. A must own!! said one reviewer..nope IMO.

I watched the first movie last night. It met my expectations (in a good way). At moments, as has been discussed, it can look a bit processed or digital but much of the movie is fine and to be expected given the source material. It shouldn't even need to be stated, but it's MILES above the old BD in every single respect. It's by far the best I've ever seen the movie and it's nice now not having a dreaded feeling going into the movie like before having to deal with watching such a mess on the old BD.

I did spend a little time afterward with the remastered BD, and yeah, it's definitely a notable step down. Less detail, flat looking, and skintones can look a little curious at times especially on Marty; almost a weird salmon color with this brighter look in some shots. Hard to explain, but not natural and all too characteristic of these 'remastered' BDs which have been discussed.

Watched 2 last night and it’s a stunner. Just beautiful. They really handled the Atmos mix remixes well so far. Looking forward to 3 tonight.

Watching the comparative videos of hdnumerique and the Back to the Future trilogy looks magnificent. What a great transfer! the processed look of the old blu ray is a thing of the past. Now the image is presented in a filmic way, colors are much more natural and warm and the excellent use of HDR gives a new life to the image. Contrast and black levels are noticeably improved with no shadow detail lost and no bloom out highlights. The old blu was also full of noise and DNR, on the contrary in the UHD, as usual, the grain is very well resolved, at least for the vast majority of the length of the footage. As if all those improvements weren't enough there is also an increase in the level of fine detail throughout the entire movie.
I want to congratulate Universal for the wonderful work they have been doing with their classics in UHD and now I can't wait to see this great trilogy on my TV.

I tried using the chat a few times over the last couple of days but it never got further than the generic waiting for a representative line, and I left it there long enough that I doubt it was ever going to connect.

I called today, it took a little while for the rep to realize that although the order shows "pre-order coming soon" that the release date was actually 5 days ago and that's why it's available today in stores. Then he didn't really seem to understand how canceling the previous order would change the BOGO discount. I tried to explain that although the lower priced item on my order was already delivered, technically the discount is split in half and applied to both items on the order, so half of the discount is applied to the BTTF set and that's why I was hesitant to cancel. Instead of attempting to figure that out, he just offered to give me 13% off on the new order which I accepted since it was roughly the same as my original order, and I was long past done trying to explain the issue at that point, lol. Picking it up today. Good luck to everyone else!

My Amazon.ca order came in today! I don't have a way to watch the 4K discs yet, but I'm excited to check out the remastered Blu-Ray discs at least.

And of course I was the idiot who redeemed my digital codes under the wrong Google account. -_-
