Maybe it’s more player specific. So far Oppo and Pana don’t have that problem but Sony 700 and 800 do.

Had similar issues until I wiped all the finger smudges off the disc and then it fixed the stuttering, audio drops and lockups. 100GB discs are super sensitive to smudges.

You're not cheap. There's nothing wrong with buying an affordable 4K player. I've had the Sony UBP-X700 for over a year now and i'm very happy with it. Great affordable player with no issues at all.

Right, except there is no indication that this is being adopted widespread for UHDs, so your "adapt or die" statement makes no sense.

I didn't have any issues with the Mummy set either. And I was still using an Xbox One S.

My point is still valid. You're getting a great deal whether you like all these movies or not. A great deal is a great deal and can't really be argued. And I believe $40 for 7 discs would constitute a great deal. I can recognize and admit when a deal is great. Even if I don't like what's being sold in said deal.

Not most. There are bunch of us, who are not having any issues with playback. The way you word it sounds like 80-85% of the people are having issues. And I'm not sure that's the case. Plus, the thinking now is that it may be player related.

Just maybe there's something to do with the packaging in this case.

Dude, It's got nothing to do with the packaging in this case. Plenty of other releases that are packaged like this have had similar price drops.

That is true, but it is happening more and more as time goes on. Mainly with respects to Columbia, Universal, and a few Disney box sets. Especially with box sets. That seems to be the go to for some studios.

I got a question. Target send me the regular blu ray edition of BTTF instead of 4k, they tell me to keep it and will resend the 4k. Does the regular code redeem as hd or 4k?

HD, because it's a bundle code. The older codes from BD for each movie individually will redeem UHD in iTunes, but the newer sets are one code for all three movies.

According to ended sales on Ebay, the steelbook is going for $80 or so (minus 12% Ebay fees). Maybe you want to sell it for a small profit, if you can drum up some bubble wrap (or padding of some sort) and a small box (i.e. reuse one of those small Amazon boxes).

Just got my copy and went straight to the dinner w/ Lorraine scene and no issues on my Sony X700. Sweet. So I guess it’s just certain copies. Also my God what a gorgeous disc!
