Stoltz never finished, so how would that get marketed?

I wonder how many scenes he did, from pics it looks like he did twin pines mall and lous coffee shop but did he get to film lorraines house, the skateboard chase, the new 85 mcfly house or the clocktower sequence near the end?

Wasn't most of the film shot with Stoltz?

I would take a box set of Back To The Future on 4K that actually play correctly. I have tried three copies on two different brand players and nada on all three discs.

It was a bit complicated because even though he was still on set he was essentially a prop for other actors to get their coverage shot. So even the 6 weeks he was there included him acting without being shot. He must have known in the back of his kind what was going on.

Might want to try importing the U.K. set then as I received mine on release and all discs played flawlessly on my Panasonic.

The two players that I had trouble with the US set are a my Sony and the neighbor's Panasonic. At this point I am just going to play the BDs that come with it, at least they work.

Zemeckis and Gale pretty much have final say on anything to do with Back to the Future. That's why there won't be a remake any time soon. Neither of them have ever expressed a desire to release any alternate cuts of these films.

Different studios though. Indy is Paramount and BTTF is Universal.

That is still quite significant. There's a behind the scenes interview where I think Zemeckis mentions that he had to ask/beg the studio for permission to do the re-shoots with Fox because Stoltz was not working out.

Yikes, now I feel compelled to test out the set I snagged during Prime Day. I have a Panasonic.

I did read that BTTF had some playback issues. Not sure if it was ever addressed by Universal.

My set played fine in my OPPO and UB820.

I’d go one step further having both back to future 1 and 2 look correct like back to the future 3 with them having no video issues and having the grain intact.

I'll take that another step furthererer and say include the original stereo tracks.

Until then Universal can kiss my hairy Scots arse!

I sadly agree I mean it’s sad the hdr/Dolby vision was great but the rest of the picture quality is garbage and not having the original stereo tracks is sad too.

Why wouldn’t Universal want to make some extra coin by putting out another release that appeals to the double dippers and the folks who passed on the box set because they only want the original?

I've always thought Christopher Lloyd stole the movies. He should've been the leading actor instead of Michael J. Fox.
