Love the series, but I’m good with the SteelBook set from a few years ago!
It went live around 5:10am EST. I was able to get one around that time.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before.

The 2024 set has the unaltered original keyart for each film.

Thanks for pointing this out. I didn't even notice these changes to the art when I saw it this morning. I'll pass and stick with my 2024 set.

Despite the new 40th anniversary special features, this is a hard pass for me. I’m done rebuying this series, especially after picking up the 2024 trilogy release on this year’s Prime Day.

So this is what they are going to do now? Every 5 or 10 years we will get a new ultimate, super, deluxe, premium that has an added bonus disc with new interviews? People wonder if 4K will be the last format? Yes. This is what they will do to get more money anyway. They add a bonus disc with new cover art. Jaws 50th. Back To the Future 40th. I can see the Indy movies will be doing the same for their 50th anniversary.

What do you mean, "now"? They've re-released them like clockwork every five years across DVD, Blu and now UHD.

Yeah, I keep hearing about the death of physical media as I seem to be drowning in it more than ever before. At this point, will this death just get here already? I am out of room.

What’s honestly the difference with this edition than the others?

Just found out about gift set about 5 minutes ago. Totally wrapped up in putting out fires at work all day. Kept hitting refresh and it went to other sellers, which was Amazon. Got it in and now when I go to page it says I've reached my limit.

Seems to me they are trying hard not to let scalpers get a lot of them.

I didn't need more stress after today. This makes me happy

I said I wasn't gonna order this fancy new premium set, but I went and did it. I'm not convinced I'll keep the pre-order, but I feel better knowing I have it in! A friend and I also booked cinema tickets to see it on 10/31, so there will be some BttF in my future either way!

I pre-orered one just in case to give me some time to think about it.

This won't factor into my decision, but you have to admire the laziness of printing the "Save the Clock Tower" flyer on white paper! Would it have really been that difficult for them to print it on light blue paper?

I know there are some flyers in the background in BTTF that are printed on both white and yellow paper, but Marty's flyer is blue, dammit!

I always figured they should have used the original version of this poster for the cover of the trilogy. Then at least it's the original art and they're not using the first movie poster twice.

Went ahead and placed the order like some of you. Not sure I'll keep it, but I got an order in just in case!

Same. I don’t usually like to be controlled so easily by FOMO, but I just started deciding to get serious about collector’s editions and the like this month, and I’ve already paid through the nose to catch up on just the recent stuff I’ve missed. (Never mind anything more than a year old)

I got the 2020 set for $20. I'm good because they won't fix anything, but if they did I would.

When are we getting a Sir Walter Randolph special collector's edition? That'll surely be the definitive one.
