Yeah, I never thought that Doc
[Show spoiler]converted the car himself. But leaving the hoverboard with him in the future gives them just enough leeway to explain it, and it's not like he just did it the next day as his two boys are several years old by the time he goes back to the future, it took him years to reverse engineer the board. It's still a stretch, but it's not a totally unfathomable "plot hole" either.

They paid for it

Yeah. We had a hover conversion done in the early 21st century.
It's pretty explicit

You guys have no idea how many times I've watched this trilogy since it hit Netflix.

My girl says I have a problem.

I don't know, there's always been something about 'Back to the Future' that has occupied a special place in my heart since I was a kid. It's like the perfect blockbuster for me.

Really hoping this trilogy is still on schedule to hit UHD this year.

I can subscribe to that thought process I just figured he did it himself to keep it all on the downlow since

No magazine cover shown and 2 lines from Marty removed.

It is indeed very clumsy. The music jumps and everything. It might be unintentional, especially since nothing else seems to be cut. Maybe an encoding error?

Also, it looks like the end credits for the first film are in the right proportions on Netflix, rather than the squished version on the Blu-ray.

I always thought when Marty asks at the end of 3 if he was going to the future and Doc replies, "I've already been there," to mean he took the train to 2015 and had the hover conversion done on the train then.

Where would he find the necessary parts/materials to reverse engineer a 21st century technology in the late 19th century?

Or the technology to make a new Flux Capacitor?

...he can’t even make gasoline.

I'm curious, will there be a 4K set that includes the extras and animated series discs? I really hope that Universal doesn't omit anything that was in the previous release.

I didn’t really get into these until I was older in my early 20’s. Of course I had seen them all growing up but I was more into action movies like Die Hard and Predator growing up. I love them now though.

Except the Delorean was used to get Marty back to the future, so it stands to reason that Doc spent part of his family time in the old west building a time machine from scratch.

You're not thinking fourth dimensionally. Doc buried the Delorean in 1885 so that Marty and 1955 Doc would be able to uncover it and repair it. The one that was used to get Marty back to the future in III was that one from 1955, the one that Doc was in when he got zapped into 1885 is still in the mine. So even though he was now stuck in 1885 he could uncover the the buried Delorean and use it for reference in conjunction with the hoverboard tech.

I think the answers to all the time travel questions in BTTF can be found in Avengers: Endgame.

We don't know yet, but if I was to bet on it, I wouldn't expect the 4K set to include the TV show (even on DVD). I'll be keeping my Flux Capacitor set.

Usually I sell my older copies when I double dip but for BTTF I will make an exception.
