Pre-ordered the standard edition from Target with red card discount. Pretty good price IMO.

But, maybe the box-set will be part of a future B2G1 promotion in the near future and can be pre-ordered at an even lower price.

I've heard so many people say that blu ray his this protective coating... Yet I've always had the same problem with blu rays and 4K discs that I had with dvds, where a little fingerprint will affect the entire performance. Some of it could be my player, but I have discs that skip in the same place whether I watch them on my player or my PS4. My wife bought Coco brand new and it's never played right in a certain spot. My mom borrowed my Alien anthology blu ray, it played fine before, but she must have scratched a disc or something because now Aliens skips in the same place no matter what player I watch it on. Same with my Jaws blu.

Yep. I’m canceling my steelbook order. Getting the BTTF and Hitchcock sets for a little over $90 with my Target deal and additional discounts.

You got lucky with your timing it had to be a cancelation probably from someone who ordered two or ended up wanting the hoverboard set. Did it go right back to "coming soon" status after you PO'd yours? It did for me which leads me to believe the allotment is gone we just happened to get lucky and be one the site right when someone else cancelled. The PO's have been closed pretty consistently since they sold out the first day. Just a few tricking in here and there.

Best Buy steelbooks showed available for preorder a few minutes ago but could not complete checkout no matter what.

It’s now back to “Coming Soon”

Jesus. Even the standard edition sold out on Amazon. I would have missed out on the Best Buy exclusive if I didn't come to this forum. These different releases came out of nowhere with only 2 1/2 months till they release.

It's just a satire of the same ole' Marvel tropes that all of us already do on our own time with our friends.

Wow. I had no idea how bad it's gotten. Thanks for posting this.

EDIT: Also, why is Homer dragging the kids from the theater kicking and screaming as if he were the voice of reason? Isn't he supposed to be the dummy of the family? If anything, it should be Lisa, the smart one, who wants to leave, but Homer is attracted to the bright and shiny objects on screen. ... The writers really need to be more consistent with their characterizations. It seems all mixed up from one scene to the next.
Agreed on the voices. I stopped watching around season 10 around the turn of the millennium. Should have ended then.

Only thing I watched since then was their terrible movie

Having said that-- I actually laughed a couple times at this clip and the absurdity of all the post-credits scenes.

If this doesnt show Universal that people still love Back to the Future, then I don't know what will.

Edit: Steelbook now back up as of this posting.

The Standard 4K set for $42.99 at Target is a great deal. Pre-ordered.

Yes that's what happened to me, I kept trying though after like 10 attempts of getting the "item is currently sold out" or "oh snap something went wrong" it went thru but then immediately went back to "coming soon" status once my order was processed. Its cause they are selling cancelations that trickle in one at a time, if another person gets to the item before you and has it in their cart, it will show it as available but when you go to check out (those two messages above appear), it will stay like that until the customer no longer has a "hold" on the items, it disappears (like 5-10 minutes) due to not checking out in time and opens back up for a split second which allows you to complete the transaction, if they complete it at checkout you are shit out of luck and it will never end up working at checkout, it goes back to greyed out "coming soon" status and will not allow you to proceed any further to even add it to cart again.

1) the 35th anniversary edition in regular 4K (without hoverboard) for $42.99

and

2) the 35th anniversary regular blu-ray edition WITH hoverboard for $42.99.

If you sign up for the Target Circle membership - which is free and earns you 1% back (NOT A CREDIT CARD!) - you get access to a "Buy one, get one %50 off" coupon.

So adding both those editions to your cart and applying the %50 coupon, you get both sets for $69.80 + tax. Cheaper than the 4K w/ hoverboard set on Amazon.com

Thanks for this. Just ordered the BTtF set and Hitchcock Collection for under a bill!

Thanks everyone for the heads up on Target's low price and their 'Buy 1, get 50% off a second" offer. I ordered Back to the Future 4K UHD for $42.99 and scored 'Home Alone' UHD for $11! Scored!

Sounds like an awesome deal, there was a time where I didn’t care about packaging or anything other than getting movies at the cheapest price possible. But then I realized that I like the way Steel books look on the shelf and how durable they over time (they still look nice whereas slips do not unless you keep them in protective cases). I decided to go full steel book whenever it is an option and to my surprise they hold up way better even on the shelves, the slips tend to get jagged edges or show wear and tear over time, but the steels (as long as you aren’t playing hockey with them) stay pretty much in perfect condition. - My movie collection doesn’t end up looking like shit.

You never know when you may move or have to box your collection up, trust me here steel books can handle moving much better than standard armaray or elite cases. The slips cannot handle any boxing up without spending a shitload of time wrapping each one in bubble wrap (but even then the corners can still bend), but when you do this you lose all sorts of packing room and end up wasting money on boxes. Its impossible really to keep them in great condition no matter what you do outside of putting them in a protective case and never toughing them. The slips always show wear and tear over time no matter what you do like baseball cards of yesteryear. I learned my lesson with blu ray, I was an avid blu ray collector but didn’t care about the cases just the cheap prices, well when I had to move many of my blu cases got scuffed up or pieces broken off, the sure couldn’t handle the move- slips were even worse edges and corners were ****in frayed only a few remained mint. The only ones that looked undamaged or phased by the move where the steelbooks i had.

Went through Target this round and used the buy one get one 50% off. Got the Arrow edition of Mallrats for 15 bucks so I cancelled my Amazon pre order of that. Solid price on both!

Default Best Buy steelbook or Target

Does anyone know if the Best Buy steelbook will become available again? If not I'll go with the target deal.

Do target deal for now but keep checking best buys website if you get lucky while your are checking it and can actually PO the steelbook set due to a cancelation you can always cancel your target order. If it was me i would order it from Target and not consider canceling anything from target until your able to secure a best buy steelbook set order. Its the best way for you to cover all the bases but still give yourself a chance to land the steelbook. If the steelbook never happens you get the target version for cheap. Win win... although for me i only wanted the bb 4k steel set so it would be lose lose.

Thanks for the heads up on this deal! Picked up the 4k with the Westworld s3 4k for basically $35 each.
