If it's not October 20th in the US I would be shocked.

Frankly, I don't like any of the designs so far, to the point where they're causing me to consider whether I want to purchase.

Also, in what way is it the 'ultimate trilogy'. It's the same trilogy of films it's always been. 'Ultimate edition' would be something else.

Just sloppy stuff for a release that deserves so much better.

Desk
I still like the steels no matter who did it first

And by getting the steels I also avoid having to buy the movies in one of those ghastly digibooks with sleeves.

I'm upgrading to the 4K set but I don't know what to do with all the previous editions I own. I've got the UK steels (similar to these new BB ones), Japanese steels (all black), flux capacitor box set and I think I still have the Universal digipak somewhere. I probably can't sell them since they're pretty worthless in the secondary market nowadays. I don't have a Goodwill near me where I can donate them and libraries are closed. I wish I knew more people who were into physical media so I can gift all of my extras.

I had that giftset with the numberplate and all the other tat but I sold it years ago, the tat wasn't very good. Replaced it with the regular digipak, and to be perfickly honest I wouldn't feel any guilt about dropping it straight into the bin, such is the 'quality' of the discs it contains. Hell, I'd probably keep the digipak and use the discs as coasters

These newer generations are not buying a 35 year old movie on disc.. If they're watching it at all they're streaming it on Netflix

I’m in for that SteelBook set - the art looks pretty good to me. Hell, after that Home Alone SteelBook, this looks like the frickin’ Mona Lisa.

Now that there is a 4K version the hoverboard is tempting but I think I'm still leaning towards the steelbooks. Hoverboard will probably be on ebay by itself anyway.

Shame its HDR10+ and not DV though.

Edit: Apparently the bottom of the press release says it has both HDR10+ and DV, so I guess DV is still a possibility.
