I don't care for the cardboard sleeves either but what I have done in the past is put the discs into paper sleeves and then put it into the packaging... sometimes they won't fit and I will put the discs in sleeves between the pages or whatever you want to call it and sometimes that works but then sometimes it makes the packaging bulge too much... I still have the 25th anniversary bluray packaging that has 6 disc hubs and also the trilogy steel so I can figure something out lol

Fair enough, however they are a lot less prone to scratches vs. DVDs or CDs.

I know but still I’m done with buying sets that come in sleeves that why I didn’t buy the Star Wars set from Best Buy. I’m sure everyone here that’s wanting the set would have been fine with paying a little extra if The movies would have came in 3 separate cases.

BTTF part 2 and 3 are both solid movies that are just a notch below the original. Part 2 gave us the future and an alternate dark reality which worked the importance of being very careful mesing with time otherwise there are consequences. Part 3 may be the weakest of the three but the Old West style is fresh. I liked how Doc and Marty had to had to figure out how to power up the DeLorean with the limited resources they had at that time leading to a thrilling train sequence. It also concluded Marty's and Doc's life being satisfied with what they had in that current time and no longer have need for the DeLo. In terms of other trilogies, BTTF 2 and 3 are definitely better than Jurassic Park 2 and 3, Mummy 2 and 3, Matrix 2 and 3, POTC 2 and 3 and so forth. It's just behind the OG Star Wars trilogy and LOTR.

Was anyone else ever bothered by the recasting of the girlfriend in part 2?

I'm not a fan of recasting characters but this one didn't bother me at all. I've been a fan of Elizabeth Shue since i first saw her in The Karate Kid.

It was distracting but I do give it some slack because:

1) The original actress, Claudia Wells, retired from acting at the time to take care of her sick mother, so she wasn’t available for the sequel. She has come back recently.

2) I do believe Shue is ultimately the better actress and she gave a lot to what amounted to a pretty shallow character (“I got married at the Chapel of Love!?”).

I understand why they had to recast, but Shue did not do a very good job. It must have been a last minute thing.

Something really insignificant about the recasting that for some reason really bothers me is that to keep continuity they give Shue a hairstyle close to what Wells had but the hairstyle really doesn't suit Shue. Is it a bad wig? Because it looks like a bad wig.

Question to those who were torn on whether to get the BB steelbook set or the Target standard edition for $30 less, which version did you end up deciding on? I’m having trouble deciding between non-sleeves packaging or saving $30.

The standard 4K set will be $25-30 in no time at all. It was the same when the Blu-ray set came out.

Normally it would, especially since the movies are done as one big story. But when I was younger I don't think I even noticed Jennifer was a different person! Even though I'd seen Adventures in Babysitting quite regularly too! And by the time I did know, I guess I had seen the movies so many times, I'm just used to it now anyway.

And the reason behind it mentioned above makes it more understandable now too. And was nice to see both Jennifers took part in the recent reunion (Claudia Wells briefly).

As a kid i always felt something was off with jennifer in parts 2 and 3, it was only yrs later when i grew up that i realize she was recasted. I brought this up because i generally don't hear much about it and wondered what you guys thought about it. I think i prefer Claudia as jennifer personally. She had this sort of exotic look about her. Always made me question how marty had such a hot girlfriend.

If it had been a full size or even half size hover board i might care, but this little toy is a joke.
