It's not capitalism that i have a problem with, it's idiots who ruin a deal for others because they are trying to scam the system.

and you can't use special software for playback so no custom software turning of HDR or customized chroma scaling, etc. etc.

and the audio quality isn't so good either and all the DRM means you have to only use certain pathways and certain equipment to even get the best of the poor audio it delivers to begin with

and titles can be disappeared on you or switched to an alternate version and you have no control

Bought a copy. If this stands, I'm ridiculously happy. And if not, I can get my money back. I almost didn't check this thread. Thanks for pointing this out everybody.

Sucks man. I recently bought a 4K disc for $0.99 when the seller put the starting price as a Buy It Now instead of Auction. They still honored the sale.

It must be a glitch: on both their other Ebay listings and their own site, any other Universal set it normally priced. But yeah, hopefully they won't cancel en masse. Even if they're tempted, hopefully the mass of orders will dissuade them from taking the time and money to cancel.

I will not be surprised if it turns out that some get cancelled and some get honored. At least one person is definitely getting this for 10 bucks.

Yeah, I think that could well be the case. I think it could be as a previous post said, they'll more likely cancel the people ordering 30, 100, any king of a huge amount. Hopefully, anyway, and not the orders of 1 or 2 (I ordered two so my friend could get one, but I feel it's a risk to have ordered 2 instead of 1).

Yeah, that made me laugh. I think this proves the UHD set must be an error. Too bad everyone's out of the office and they've got a bot relisting over and over when the current listing sells out.

I was going to order 3. One for me, one for my Pops, and one to gift but I didn't want to risk the possibility of cancellation. I still have it pre ordered from Target from their Buy 1 Get 1 50% off so I'll be getting it either way. People ordering insane amounts though, I hope they get rammed.

I got an auto-reply from Gruv, for a minute I was afraid they had caught the error and cancelled, but it was merely an auto-message stating that as a preorder, it would not update in the Ebay system until nearer to release day.

Which is weeks away, so plenty of time for them to cancel our orders. Though I hope not.

Got the same email. Thanking me for my preorder and telling me it will be dispatched in time for release day. Some executive will have a headache on his hands Monday.
