I would think Halloween (1978) wasn't that bad unless you wanted the very heavy blue tint of the Anchor Bay DVD release.

BTTF could be another, Full Metal Jacket or Goodfellas debate. Most of us fim fanatics that understand film stock will love it. Those new to 4K or new to owning their 4K HDR QLED, Nano Cell, Quantum super duper tv will want BTTF to look like Aquaman or Ready Player One.

Its not disappointing at all.. its more down to personal preference and most importantly personal expectation. there's is definitely some dnr there . even some YouTube reviewers such spare change has also picked up on it but ots not excessive to cause smearing. they tried to apply it subtlety. and on the whole it does work well but there is some slight loss of detail. if you look closely to my earlier post where I posted screen grabs , if you look at the close up of doc . if you look.at his forehead you can see there is an absence of fine wrinkles. what you do see is the more pronounced ones which are bit soft and faint.

I preordered from Amazon months ago, just got a email that the delivery will be delayed to Oct 22nd. I also got in on the gruv deal, who also sent a delay email until who knows when. Not sure what’s going on with this release, I just hope one of these comes through near the release date.

Just screen caps, but I can see what people (both on positive and negative) are saying about it but I'll take it

Yeah, it's been managed which is disappointing but as expected it beats the absolute shit outta the manky old blu rays.

They've rescued the colour, there's a crapload more fine detail, plus it'll hopefully have a decent HDR grade so i'm still excited as fu-huck to get my hands on this. Friday can't come soon enough.

The 4k looks way better in my opinion on that particular shot. The detail is there, the dcp seems to be covering up some of the details in my view.

If the rest of the film looks like this I'm happy. I was hoping that Marty's 2015 outfit would be a bit more blue than green compared to the blu ray. Is this the case has anyone checked?

Screenshots show a nice increase in detail, especially on clothing, but Great Scott, can we get something that isn't a closeup to compare. Is that this websites thing or something?

Use your web browser's zoom function to zoom out. For Mozilla on Windows, I hold Control and scroll the mouse wheel.

Since some have received this new set, can people confirm or deny this thing about SD BD?
